I don't care for an apology, just admit they failed their fanbase. They can apologise in the form of a decent 3rd game.

I think most of us want a decent DA3 (I can't say all of us because some have stated they want to see Bioware fail because they disliked DA2)

I personally hope DA3 is a mix of the features of DAO and DA3, with enough developement time to flsh out the game.

I just hope the writers push to get their ideas out in complete sentences this next time around for DA 3 instead of garbled half stories that you can see were good in concept but just sucked in execution due to whatever pushed the game out so fast. I feel bad for the writers honestly, I would personally quite if i had to watch a good story like this wasted because more time was spent being 'innovative' than caring if anyone cared about what Hawke was involved with other than 'make them bodies EXPLODE!'

Actually I want Mike Laidlaw and David Gaider to livestream the apology so I can see they are sincere when they apologise.

I dont see a point of it ! Why should they apologize ? They created a product we didnt like it. We dont support or buy further simple. Although if the developers admit in their interview where they went wrong and EA/Bioware makes statements that they will bring the series back to track and more closer to DragonAge:Origins... that will be appreciated.

Great justice? I don't agree with demanding an apology or anything silly like that but that quote could hardly come off as more whiny, "don't attack my art, you just don't get it" bs I've seen.

Here are a couple of quotes from Laidlaw himself (the man people so vehemently attack as being delusional and thinking DA2 is perfect.) Its funny that people simply deny these parts of his statements. Even after posting on several threads, calling people out on which of his quotes they are basing his "insults to fans" and his "delusional attitude towards DA2" I never got responses. So here are my quotes showing, hey, maybe the guy isn't the devil these people so desparately want him to be:

On companion character customization...

It's likely that we'll end up coming back to a way to equip your followers, but at the same time, I really do think that having their own visual signature is really important.

When asked about how confident he was in the changes...

I would question anyone who was 100 percent confident in anything they've designed. There's always room to improve, and there's always room to tune and look (at) what effects they have.

My next big goal is to make sure that there are deeper interactions with crafting or the next steps in terms of being able to do more than talk, fight, and disarm traps.

OMG BUT THAT WOULD BE MAKING THE GAME MORE COMPLEX...Wait I thought he was supposed to be all about dumbing down yo?

On feedback...

There's a fairly wide spread of things to do. But I think as a player, saying "OK cool. You did a lot of cool work here, but I would like more. I'd like to be able to interact with my world more"--that's a perfectly fair request, and that's one we're hoping to address as we go forward.

When directly asked about fan feedback...

It's always valid. You have to take a read of what the fans are saying, what reviews are saying, and what the non-fans are saying. Are there people out there who are saying, "I could not play Origins, but love Dragon Age II" or "I couldn't play Origins and this is more of the same." You have to keep your ear to the ground. Look at forums. Take a look at what comments are coming up. What are the common concerns? What are the common perceptions?

Now it remains to be seen if this will happen.

OK, look. BioWare owe you nothing of the sort. Have you played Mass Effect: Galaxy? It makes DA2 looks like it's the most polished game ever. The controls are a bit of a mess, it's not particularly good and it's quite the half-arsed effort. BioWare have not apologised for it, but instead said it was a risk they took, one they're glad they did, because they learnt from it. Heck, they've not even apologised for the shocking Awakening expansion, which is one of the buggiest and least polished 'professional' products I've played in some time.

The same will go with DA2. It is not unplayable, as can be seen by the posts here and the reviews. It's not the biggest mess ever released. It's not the buggiest game ever. If you are a BioWare fan, and consider yourself a 'hardcore' fan, then you should know that NO BioWare game is fault free. Awakening was a mess, DA:O had a truck load of faults, BG2 was notoriously buggy, NWN had more patches than I can count, DA:O's DLC was also a mess, ME2 was unpolished in places and has some rather shocking bugs that still haven't been fixed.

You knew what you were buying when the game released. You knew that it would have bugs and issues. This is the price you pay for jumping on a game when it first releases, and you should grow up and take it. If you want the least buggy experience, wait until the Ultimate edition comes out with all the patches. You are not entitled to an apology.

I certainly don't feel like I need to be apologized to. I'd take a nice, big patch any time now though..;)

So far, the only people I can see deserving any kind of apology are the console players who got a game with the auto-attack file missing. They're the only ones who got a "broken" game by any stretch of the imagination.
For the record, I'm a PC player, so it didn't affect me in the slightest.

Thank for what?....

Copy pasted areas?
Strip roleplay elements from rpg games?
Making a shorter title all on the whole city and in the same 10 areas?
For making manga trash anims and character ala final fantasy that total don't fit with dragon age universe?(aka fenris)
To take elves and turn them in anorexic gremlings? Or stramlized na'vi?
To add a dialog wheel that to be use need icons!?
To add no sense thing like ennemys that jumps out from nowhere?
To waste a nice background of a world to release a garbage sequel?
To be inchoerent with character choices? (Leliana like Jesus that resurrect)

Come on people you can't be so blind

Dragon Age 2 is fine.

They don't have to apologize just because some people don't like it.

It would be like an artist apologizing for people not liking his paintings.

I don't want an apology. What will that fix? The damage is already done. I just want to see improvement with DA3; as long as that happens, I'll be content whether or not anyone apologizes for DA2.

I'm not thinking a formal apology is needed, but I'd love to see some hinting that they're hearing and internalizing the feedback in the interviews I read.

When I read Laidlaw's interviews I come away with an overwhelming impression he's thinking, "The critics and gamers who don't like my game can go **** themselves. I'm rescuing their dying genre and (Arishok voice) THEY SHOULD BE GRATEFUL!"

Laidlaw doesn't seem to think he made any mistakes in making this game and his interviews all seem to say, "We made the right call, but people just don't get it. So we'll release another few games like this until they understand we're doing the right thing!"

Haha that part is genius.

Bioware/EA are the qunari and the bioware internal discourse of the new direction DA should go in is the qun?
The disgruntled fans are the people of Kirkwall?

It is easy to pick apart any rpg in that manner. you just did not like DA2.
but thanks for calling ME blind because you can not distinguish opinion from fact.

The bolded part is what scares me mainly because it seems that is their main demographic now, he does not seem at all bothered or interested in what fans or reviews are saying.

Sheesh!?! I love all of DA, it's expansions the sequel DA2 etc! I have been having a blast with it! Oh but I'm JUST a girl so no vote for me right? "oh luck! Shiny new and pretty!" sure there are glitches and bugs and anyone knows there will be! Work with it and solve it like any puzzle you would in a game! I managed to finally kill the head Qunari and have never been so proud of me and my handy hoard of companions! Having Isabella at end of a grueling fight that was completely done with solving the puzzle like any good boss fight must take! Hell get over yourselves please!
