By the way, why does Anders have no pupils in that comic?

Bum Tickley is awful. You should feel bad for posting that.

Alright now that I have your attention. I just wanted to point something out that has been bothering me..
Why all the controversy? We are in 2011 now, gay people are here forever, have been here forever, and will always be...Get used to it. I appreciate everything Bioware did for "us", they gained a lot of respect from me. I hope they continue to create gay relationships in other games, not just fem-fem.
How come the gay controversy didn't start when we had fem-fem in Mass Effect 1,2 and DA:O? Ohh, that's right cause it's okay!! it's hot!! No, it's just unfair. Zevran has been the only male-male relationship I have seen since I started playing video games. I have been playing games since NES.

I'm sure making this won't even matter, I live in a small town in the NC mountains, I know what it is like to be spit on,cussed, made fun of, for being who I am. The only thing that has gotten me through the anti-gay mess is a brighter future for acceptance. Bioware you took a step towards that in this game, you gained a loyal fan. Just know that the majority of us don't care about the bisexual relationships. It's just the select few ignorant people that attempt to make it seem like it is a big deal.
I'm done ranting, signing off....
Loyal Gay Bioware Fan,Cole Peace.
I've seen a couple games that predate DA:O that had gays in it, but not as openly. Mass Effect 1 was, from what I know, supposed to have a gay option with Kaiden (sp?) but I'm not absolutely sure why it was canceled (not done, dropped?)
But you're right, 'tis nice that they open things up to more poeple now. Give it time.

I think a lot of this also has to do with how the romances were implemented from DA2 and Origins. Origins was more tasteful while DA2 is just over the top and plain silly in many instances.
now thats being ridiculous you are obviously a closet homophobe...

And the Lord said: "Do never begin Sentences with the Phrase "i´m not a [put in your Phobia], but..."
To be serious: The worst kind of Discrimination comes from people, who don´t even have the Courage to say "i hate Homosexuals (or other minorities)!", but do it secretly. Those people accuse people with another Oppinion of the strangest things ("Bioware wants to make everyone Homosexual!"), but they would never say what they think, ´cause then they had to argue about it, and they could even (God beware them of this Horror!) get a new Point of View in a Discussion!

How is what I wrote indicating anything of a closet homophobe? I said that the romances in Origins was just represented better than in DA2 how does that make me a homophobe in anyway? Get realPlumPaul82393 wrote...

May i ask, what u mean with "over the Top?" I though the opposite, since they are very very prude. I mean: Clothed Sex?

I don't really care about having gay romance options, I'm just bothered about what they did to Anders in this one. I mean, he was funny, reasonable, and friendly in Awakening. In 2 he's sarcastic, overly-sensitive, an **** to everyone, then he gets offended by me choosing not to be gay. It wasn't the 10 rivalry that pissed me off, it was the heterophobia.
thats what happens when they change characters to appease everyone,,,

Just man up and tell him "NO."
Why are people still fretting over a string of dialogue in a conversation tree? In a videogame of all things?
Peace.

The funny thing is, that all 4 characters change drastically depending on Hawke's gender.
And only the same sex ones are trying to get in your pants.
Those are my issues.
This bloody romantic plot tumor has impacted the characters in a negative way. I wish BioWare just gave up on this dating sim madness once and for all.

They're fretting because it's a ridiculous situation for anyone's Hawke to be in given :
a) Anders's character from DA:A: he is not overtly or even openly gay, whiney or irritating. . . In fact he's quite the opposite in all contexts always flirting with women all the time in the party, and generally offering comic banter.
c) All of the flirting is retarded in this game, as none of it is witty banter; it's pure adolescent drivel aimed at sparking reactions from teens who have just put down the Cleenex (read Isabella's ridiculous outfit and ****ish behaviour, Merrill's emo-esque level's of naivety towards males, and Zevran . . . just no words, really...)
This from a straight guy, with openly gay friends since high school . . .

Haha, well.. I actually put that on YouTube myself.. but.. I don't know, that was just very different to me though. Probably because that was just really cheesy and more humerous so I could forgive him and just dismiss it whereas Anders just seemed so random.

The rest of the companions are a whole other story, and Angry and me have gone the rounds over it before. But really when you look at it Anders is not that big a deal. In fact if it would let me I'd go replay awakening and let the bastard die just to get him outta the game. And none of that sentiment has anything to do with gay. He's just a retard.

There was a thread some days ago which used Zevran in DA:O as an example for not in your face well balanced bisexual persona.
Poor soul must have missed his cameo.
His double entendre is so cheesy. Bondage and shameless flirting, gah.
