Actually most People hitting on homosexuals are unsure about their own sexuality, and are afraid of feelings, which thex think, they are forbidden. Me is straight, and sure about that, and so i´m not afraid, and am able to accept the humans around me as they are, and be glad if they found love, as it´s best for them.

Considering Homosexuality has existed alongside Heterosexuality since the dawn of man, I'd consider it quite normal.
Hence, homosexuality will never be considered normal, untill the majority of the worlds population is homosexual. Just because there has always been people who deviated from the norm, does not make that deviance normal.
How you flummoxed to that conclusion I'll never know. Your own quote does in no way declare that majority = normality, and rightly it shouldn't. A certain quote from Nineteen Eighty-Four leaps to mind. Are you knowledgable enough that I don't need to say it? I suppose you can always grab it from such sites as BrainyQuote.

The player makes the choices on if they wish that to happen during their game, maybe they should be more open minded and maybe even try playing as the female Hawke and it won't bother the close minded so much.
Either way it means nothing, ****** sexual/bi-sexual aren't a threat to anyone, it's those who are too close minded and refuse to get over themselves who are the real threat.

Absolutely not!
I am offended by the real life homosexuals flaunting their sexuality all over the place, now even gaming forums.
GTFO please.
As a straight woman, I would like to point out that straight males are flaunting their straight sexuality up and down 24/7, that they (not all, of course) catcall and harass and flirt brazenly, rudely, crassly, and that straight women, lesbians and gay men, transgender and transsexual people all have to hear about their sexual interests, obsessions, conquests, preference and privilege in every stinking media outlet and public space. So what is this "I am not marching down to homosexual bars/meeting places and insisting on them listening to me"? You don't have to because it occurs everywhere else! All the time! Like here, for example, right now. Who is offending whom, chump?

The only thing I do mind about the Dragon Age (O+2) character's sexuality is that if felt to me as a gameplay device more than character traits.
DAO had a set of romanceable characaters that neatly filled in a 2x2 grid which they simplified in DA2 by having them all be bisexual. Come to think of it none of those characters were actually gay.
I don't mind Bioware bringing in sexuality in the game, straight, bi, gay whatever as long as it's part of the character, thought about in the story and assumed by the game design (as in "if a male character is gay then he will not be available to your female character, but you're welcome to try and make your character go through unrequited love and maybe become friends").
The only part I really liked in DA2 romances is that you were allowed to try with Aveline and Sebastian.

Anders sometimes just borders on harassment.
Link does t work apparently, but anyway..
I just played through meeting Anders and his first quest, and the conversation after. First conversation after there was a heart choice which I ignored, second conversation there was a broken heart, basically saying Im not interested. I chose that and that was the end of it. No fuss, no muss, no unwanted flirting, and no rival points.
I really don't see what's the big deal.

There was no difference that I saw (albeit in ym limited experience) between romancing as straight or as gay. Zevran makes a comment about how open minded the male warden is at least. As far as I've noticed, in this game gender is simply ignored.
Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Wow, I'm not even going to touch this with a 15 foot pole, your post is just way too easy to flame.
Now for my 3rd post of the evening. He has a point to a certain extent. I can get how people want to crusade for a issue they care about and that's all fine. But when people get all in your face about it and try to force it on you that is what I disaproove of, which is kinda what is going on in DA.
His or her post had nothing to do with DA though.
And as many people have pointed out before, nothing is being forced on anyone in DA, gay or straight. All characters are pretty open about their sexuality, if someone has a problem with it, their topic should read "oh no! Sexuality is making its way into the gaming world!"
It's rather arrogant, I'd say. Do people actually think before they press submit? Anders isn't getting pushed on me any more than Isabela. Sure, I don't mind it when she shoves it in my face (I'm not going with the "down my throat" thing...), but she's not doing it any less than Anders.
However, at momements, like the first time he flirts with you compared to the first time Isabela does, I found dialogue options lacking.

No, "hitting on" usually means flirting with. Also when you start a sentence about yourself, you don't say, "Me is straight," you say, "I am straight." Don't worry, you'll get it down eventually. xD

The focus on Anders is because I think he makes the first move, whereas with Fenris and Merrill they're more passive. Perhaps the distinction is straight males are meant to be the aggressor in the courting process, and they don't like being the recipient?

I agree with you Cole, I'm a strait white male with a wife and 3 kids but I have family that is gay and lesbian and I have a few gay friends. People now, on the most part, are getting more open minded but there is still some controversy about it. I do think Anders does come on strong bur Fenris is done just right I think, if he wasn't so anti-mage I would feel better because that's almost like the anti-gays now just instead of gay it's mage LOL
If being gay let you throw fire around from your fingers, you'd totally get more people wanting to be gay. sadly you have to be born that way, like mages.
