I've heard that sometimes, Minsk will have a "romance" with Aerie, where he choses to protect her (since he used to protect Dynaheir but she got killed).
How does this start off?

He will ask her to be his witch.  After that he goes burk if he sees her die.

Bit of topic; but Mazzy and Valygar will have an implied romance and will both go burk if they see the other one die (or take a big hit)... A burk Mazzy won my Numa no reload for me.

I see. So Aerie being Minsk's witch is compatible with my character having a romance with her?

And (95% sure) Aerie can have romance with other NPC (spoil only if asked) and still be Minsc's witch.

+ Other female npc can be Minsc's witch (only 50% sure, so long time).

It's the dynaheir/minsc romance continued from BG1 lol, although aerie complains less about the hamster.

I think Minsc also asks nalia to be her 'witch' is aerie isnt there.

In my current playthrough I have both Minsc & Nalia in the party but Minsc didn't make her his "witch".

I'm now in ToB and the only conversation they had is Nalia telling Minsc that his undying quest to fight evil was a great motivation for her.

What gives?

I have never seen Minsc become the protector of any female mage except Aerie, and certainly not Nalia. Neither Imoen nor  Nalia are  the weak clingy types that Aerie initially is.

Damn, this rumor about Nalia becoming a witch is a strong one.
I think it's just a part of the first Nalia romance mod.
