I've been having a crash issue when I get to Denerim, anywhere else in the game I have no issues whatsoever, I'd estimate I've played for near 30 hours. (Done all other sidequests and the main part of the story involving finding the ashes)

My specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3700+ (it's a single core) 2213Mhz

Vid Card: GeForce 9800GT 512MB, drivers version 195.39    <-- I've had crashes on both the beta and current drivers,
  -PhysX is disabled, still crashes
-I've tried running the game in windowed mode on both my widescreen and standard screen monitors.
-I've tried running the game with all settings set to min

OS: Windows XP Professional 32bit service pack 3

Directx 9.0c

3 Gigs Ram

Dragon Age is version 1.01b

I've recieved two errors when entering Denerim (I can run around for a minute sometimes but the game will crash without fail):

-C++ Runtime Library error R6025, pure virtual function call

-The instruction at 0x008a7658 referenced memory at 0x1a561a00. Memory could not be written.

I've been scouring the forums and trying every plausible solution that I could find, if anyone is able to help me it would be greatly appreciated.

This happens to me also. AMD Athlon 4200+ (Dual core, happens with cpu 1 enabled and disabled)

Vid Card is ATI 3850 AGP.

OS is Windows XP Pro 32 bit Service Pack 3

2 gigs of RAM

Version is 1.01b

I get "The instruction at 0x00(and a varying number) referenced memory at 0x00000000. Memory could not be written."

It happens to me almost with 100% probability in Denerim. The area I dread the most is the marketplace. What is even worse that I cannot load into my saved games in Denerim. The game simply crashes to desktop while trying to load itself.

The only solution I found which seems to help is to turn all graphics + the screen resolution to absolute minimum and get the hell out of this area.

The raw state of this game is causing me so much frustration. I never expected such crappy quality from Bioware. No way I am going to buy any of their DLCs... Feels like playing a Beta version.

I also have this problem currently on my mage, second play through. Its very strange considering that on my initial play through as a warrior i had zero issues, denerim was completely fine as was the rest of the game. Now as my mage, the entire game is fine, but denerim crashes constantly.

Im running Vista 64-bit, i7920, gtx 275 latest drivers (haven't added the 2nd yet), 6gb ddr3 1600mhz.

I haven't gotten around to overclocking anything yet, so i'm really stumped as to what is causing this.

I'm having this issue as well. My game crashes almost everytime without fail, especially near the market place.

Well, same problem, games crashes every time I'm running through the market place. Same happened in Lotheiring and occasionally in Ostagar. Have tried adjusting graphics details but it doesn't help at all. So I will wait till there is any relevant patch available... If there will be at all.

I haven't run a Google search on either of your error lines at this point.  Have you done so?

The second one makes it sound as if one of your DIMMs has a problem.  Are they exact duplicates?  Three at 1 GB each?  Or two at 1.5 GB each?  Tell me how you arrived at the odd number for RAM, and I will suggest trying the game with just 2 GBs, removing any "non-identical"  DIMM.

Update: I tried removing non-identical ram and the game still crashed without fail. According to google the runtime error in question comes from an error within the program (from what I understand).

I tried the fix (AMD processors only) on the other side of this link:

http://social.biowar...58/index/421782

It appears to have fixed the crashing issue, I was able to run around in Denerim for several minutes with no crash!

I have this problem in Orzammar, Warden's Keep and Denerim. The last being by far the worst.

Using a rig with an Nvidia 8600M GT and 4 GB RAM (identical, yes).

Am at version 1.01a and have no problems otherwise - neither regarding crashes or gameplay bugs.
