At first I thought that I would hate the whole voiced-character thing, but in the end, I loved it. Even my Sarcastic Hawke turned out to be a total BAMF 95% of the time. We've got a few threads devoted to the worst or most tactless things Hawke does, so what about your favorite Hawke moment? When did he/she impress you the most?

For me it was during the conversation with the Arishok right after you chase the dwarf out of the Qunari compound in Act I. The Arishok tells my Hawke to get out of his face, he has no use for him, etc., and Sarcastic Hawke is all, "Fine. I'm out of here." Naturally the Arishok tells him to hold. Sarcastic Hawke stops, smirks, and turns around, all smug.

Yeah, that's right, Big Scary Qunari Bastard. I called your bluff.

It's exactly how I would have written that scene or imagined it to play out if I had had an unvoiced character. All of the scenes with the Arishok are pretty epic, but they're particularly good with a Sarcastic Hawke. Diplomatic Hawke panders and Aggressive Hawke cuts to the chase but Sarcastic Hawke totally pushes his buttons. I love it.

After the viscount's son dies and the viscount is summoned. The viscount is mourning the loss of his son and the fact that those held in a sacred trust couldn't be trusted, my sarcastic, holds nothing at all sacred hawke was all

Hawke: Well things can't possibly get worse...today. It is late.

I had it in the "Worse" thread, but I love it, so I'll throw it in here. When you go to rescue Feynriel from the Slavers, if you're a rogue, something along the lines of this will occur: Lead Slaver: "Not one more step, or the boy dies." Hawke: "I don't need to step." *slowly draws hidden dagger while talking, spins and throws dagger into Lead Slaver's windpipe*. Feynriel's just staring at his corpse and Hawke stunned, you finish off the rest of the Slavers, and he says something like, "You killed him! He could have killed me! You risked that?! What if you'd missed?!" Jolly old sarcastic Hawke: "Ah, but I didn't miss, did I?"

Love it.

Probably for me it would be the time when that blood mage girl in the brothel attempts to make Hawke slit his throat, I saw this "star" option and I said to myself 'what does this do?' he risited her mind-control and then he simply stated in a really pissed off voice 'I will not be toyed with!' and I laughed at the way she went "oh sh*t!"

For some reason my companions were content to just sit there and watch.

I love it when Hawke suddenly starts talking during companion conversations, mostly because I never expect it. Like when Isabela caught Carver out about going to the brothel. "Carver! What would mother say?"

Sarcastic Hawke and her tormeting Ser Emeric, which leads to this response when he says that the bones she found meant that the women he'd been looking for were probably dead:

"If they're not dead, be on the lookout for a bunch of boneless women flopping through the streets!"

All it needs is an "Am I right?" tacked onto the end. So perfect.

I also like the tiny shrug Hawke gives Varric after killing the rock wraith. It's adorably egotistical.

The face ManHawke makes in reaction to the bad poet hitting on Isabella gets me every time. It's not badass in the least, but it makes me laugh, therefore it is awesome.

This isn't so much a line of Hawke's, but it's a reaction to what he did. After the "inside job" quest in Act 2, if you go to the Bone Pit, there are two quests you can do at seperate times. The first is removing a spider infestation in the mine. After doing this, report back to the workers.

Worker: I call dibs on the spider fangs! I'm making a necklace for my wife.

Hawke to Varric when he tries to warn her about Anders: "Have I ever given you the impression I was turned off by crazy?"

And then during one of Sebastian's Questioning Beliefs:

Elthina: Maybe you can talk some sense into him
Hawke: "Sense" isn't exactly my strong point.

I generally like Hawke's comments about the various things around the house.

The whole thing about that one templar doing demon-y things was also fantastic.

Earning the Arishok's respect, and then dueling him for Isabela. That whole setup was just cool.

Absolutely the best. Totally, perfectly in character for my rogue.

I love the exchange with Orsino in "Best Served Cold" where Sarcastic!Hawke says, "so I shouldn't slit my wrists and dance naked in the moonlight to fit in?"

My favorite moments with Hawke is the sarcastic versions. Sarcastic Hawke takes out Danzig and then finds out the slavers have a cave on the wounded coast. Sarcastic Hawke proceeds to make jokes about it. "Head Trauma Bay" as an example. Then Hawke starts to realize none of the companions are chiming in and stops.

The other is Sarcastic Hawke approaching Macha. She's all scared about her brother being missing. Hawke sarcastically opens up with something like "Don't worry, helping people and killing people is what I'm the best at." Macha gets frazzled at even the thought and then has to get her composer to reply "I hope you won't have to kill anyone". You can continue to prod her with sarcasm. Like if the Templars ate her brother. She gets scared again lol.

Anders: I love you. I've been holding back from saying that. You should have a normal life. Not be tied down to a fugitive with no future. But I don't ever want to leave you.

Hawke: Want a sandwich?

Best moment ever. Bar none.

The quest is Friendly Concern, where Varric speaks to Hawke after s/he's slept with Anders.
