So, I know that when playing through the Finding Nathaniel quest, he tells you (if you spared the Architect in Awakenings) that the results of the Wardens actions led to some new allies, but also that the Architect's converted darkspawn have become a powerful dangerous, and growing threat.  Further, he tells you that it really didn't result in the expected/hoped for darkspawn civil war.

I was just curious if anyone could fill me in on what the story becomes from him if you'd killed the Architect back when you had the chance?  I didn't have any surviving saves with a dead Architect I could import so i have no idea, but I admit, I'd like to know.

thanks

No one know's yet the quest is bugged he will always say the Architect is alive so unless someone goes in and looks at the quest stuff we wont know till it's patched.

Well, that sucks.  Thanks for filling me in there.

I've just realized... You remember what Codex says of Darkspawn and Ogres in particular? Cut off the head or burn the body. Or it may regenerate and stand up the next day.

Are you sure Architect died?

Its plausable that he manages to survive regardless of what you do. Regardless of what his fate was, my warden still attempted to kill the Architect but Nate says that i spared him, which is an inaccurate statement even if the guy managed to survive my attack.

I suppose they could use that as a cop-out to avoid fixing the quest bug (or to make sure we're further railroaded into the story they're looking to tell in DA3).
He did apparently regenerate at least one hand at some point (the events of The Stolen Throne, where he has his hand lopped off, take place well before Awakenings in which he seems to be intact) so I guess there's precedent.

They dont have to bring the Architect back to make sure that the awakened darkspaawn have a part to play in the future. For example, Velanna's sister is still alive so she could continue in the Architect's place as could any one of the surviving awakened darkspawn.

I have been, and remain, of the opinion that the Architect living is a requirement for this quest to trigger.  As this thread points out, the quest makes a lot less sense if the Architect died - I'd even suggest it makes no sense.

I've yet to see a dev comment on this (could have been one I missed, but unlikely since it seems from the number of threads nobody else saw it either) but it remains my opinion.
