if you exiled him at the end of DA:O?
Poor guy in the Hanged Man mumbling about his past and how he failed Duncan.
Did anyone feel terrible for Alistair?

Never done that, so no.
I do feel terrible for what my Warden will do to him after the "ball and chain" remark.
The paddle marks will take weeks to heal.

I wouldn't know, since I had him executed. But I probably wouldn't feel that sorry for him no.

Spoilers: Teagan finds Alistair and brings him back. At least he still has family that isn't Goldana.

Nope, I enjoyed where he ended up. That's what he deserves for leaving during a Blight. He was a child controled by his emotions and being a drunk is very fitting for him.
Too bad Teagan showed up.

Well, I didn't exiled him, he had 100 friendship with me, I have even turned Anora down, he was mentioned to wander around in the epilogue (rumors), but he still appeared.
He was hillarious though.

I laughed in a supervillain style. It made me feel warm and fuzzy in my twisted soul.
But that's because on that import Ali was getting in the way between my warden and power... er, I mean Anora (yes, that sounds plausible).
This playthrough I'll get to meet King Ali.

Nah, my dark side was overjoyed to see this drunkard. His mumbling is priceless. And his red nose...
@ISpeakTheTruth: Yes, damn that Teagan! However, if Alistair comes back to Ferelden, Anora will have him executed.
Excellent.

I got those endings and promptly replayed the game to get a better ending. The ending I am using for all the DA2 games is the one where Alistair and Anora marry, Logahin lives and Morrigan has the child. It was also the play where my character was female so it had to be Loghain who slept with Morrigan and it took some pre-planning to get that to happen.

I felt bad for him because of what the game engine did to his face.

I kicked him out during my second run, revenge of him dumping me in my first run (and in my third run, I finally married him...LOL). When I load my second run save to DA2, I feel horrible seeing him in Hanging Man and rumbling about his old glory ... Whining and indecisive as he is, Alistair is a good person.

He was still a Gray Warden for me, and it was cool to see him fight the Qunari, until I saw his face...and I felt bad that my Warden had to look at that everyday.
Agree with the person above who felt bad for him because of what DA2 did to his face, lol.

Indeed, he seems to have fallen down the back-hand tree a few times. I blame Anora.

I felt sorry for King Alistair because Hawke had seemed to keep running into people his wife had slept with before he turned up
