I started exiling him after finding out about the Drunkistair cameo.

This was one part of DA2 that didn't disappoint. Although the whole taking him back to Ferelden thing was odd.

Maybe Teagann was taking him back for a family intervention. Arl Eamon will slap him around until he's sober.

Perhaps Teagan finally grew a pair, deposed his hobo brother and needs Alistair to conquer Ferelden.

More likely his hobo brother told Teagan very politely to bring Alistair back, because apparently he can't live without him. It has nothing to do with increasing his political influence or further expanding on the trend of the bannorn rallying on Redcliffe. Oh no, just a family reunion with the boy he threw to the Chantry when he was a kid.

I think it suits him the best. He decided to abandoned his duties as a grey warden and left the country in the middle of a blight. No pity for him at all.

I only feel sorry for the apparent stroke he suffered between Origins and his visit to Kirkwall. Cause that face aint normal, kids.

I couldn't be mean to him in the original, so that didn't happen in my game. I enjoyed watching it on youtube (hilarious!), but I'm also glad it's not in my playthroughs. I did try using one of the pre-generated options and deleted my game when I got to that point. Overly whiney Alistair makes me sad even if Steve Valentine does an awesome job.

I've only seen him once so far in DA II .. when the Qunari are going crazy .. said he was just passing thru on urgent business or something ...

In DA:O my female elf mage warden ended up with Alistair ... Loghain was killed, Anora was made Queen & Morrigan had the baby ...

In my DAO I made Al king and my Warden Queen Consort and my female elf warden ran away with Al

So does he show up at all if you ran away with him? Just curious.

My mage kept him a warden and he shows up in the middle of the qunari invasion with the wardens. Obviously my warden isn't with him at the moment, but he gives Hawke an amulet of hers that he wears close to his heart.

That's... quite touching actually.
.. then again he goes and gives it to a stranger!

I didn't have any playthroughs where I spared Loghain, so I never would have known. =) Poor guy. I'm glad Teagan comes for him, though.

I feel bad for making him King. If I hadn't, he wouldn't had to come all the way to my DAII playthrough just to recite a previously cute, now recycled one-liner and give me the obvious news that Meredith is no good.

No, not at all. And I'm still convinced that the "just airing things out guy" in Hanged man was him, just waking up after a long night of drinking.
