I can't tell if this is a bug or not.  Safeguard in the sword and shield tree is supposed to make you immune to critical hits.  But when rogue types backstab Aveline (nightmare mode) it sure looks like a critical hit to me.  They do massive damage.  I  don't see any difference between now and when I didn't have the ability.

Is there something I'm missing or is this a bug?  Or do backstabs do massive, massive damage without counting as critical hits?
