"Hey, lets risk my daughter's safety and freedom just so I can get my nobility back! Oh no! I don't have nobility anymore? Well time to hate the person who got me into the city and is giving me shelter."

That's what I saw it as in act 1 :-P

I know Gamlen was a selfish idiot, but how would you feel if you were the only person caring for your father on his deathbed, and all your father could talk about was your sister, who abandoned her family.

For some reason, the only one that comments on my characters' relationships in house is Bodahn. Leandra just keeps saying my elf friends are rather strange when she's not repeating herself about Oranna.

I wish she'd comment on the LI in my game.

Same here.

That struck me more as "Here's hoping that her old master comes kicking down our door" than "you are keeping a slave?" or "I hate elves."

Somewhat unlikely given her old master suffered death by Fenris' fist o' magic shortly after she was freed.

Be that as it may, how would Leandra know? How exactly do you tell your mom "Don't worry. My buddy literally crushed the heart of her old master so nobody will come after her."

Why would that be so difficult to tell her? I'm sure she's aware you occasionally kill people. /understatement

So OP... tell us about the problems you have with your mother. Did she neglect you as a child?

Short answer to the topic; No. Long answer; I felt that her reactions were perfectly reasonable.

No. I found annoying that I didn't have more dialogue with her and I found/find the 'All That Remains' quest annoying.

Oh lilly killer shall I compare thee to a great dude, who shall rid me of this old bird taking up space in my house and not even paying bloody rent, twas mine old china whose stitching doth leave much to be desired, now with all these sponging incompetent arses having karked it I shall away to yon home in ferelden after bestowing kirkwall with the salute of mine arse cheeks boldly brandished with only one regret in that I never got to nail aveline woe is me.

Was there a reason for any of the supposed family in the game?

She annoyed me immediately in the demo when she always blamed me for the death of the sibling who wouldn't be dead if she hadn't been so useless and was slowing everyone down! I personally liked Gamlen, it sounds like he had a hard life with his parents and why should he have to sit around and give everything to his sis who ran off? I would have honestly preferred it if she stayed with Gamlen, or if Gamlen and not her had come with me to the mansion. Her obsession over her title and estate also annoyed me, she abandoned it, she has no right to it, it must be earned.

She did earn it. She's the one who petitions the Viscount for the title and rights to the estate while Hawke is gone.
That's irrelevant anyway. Regardless of what you think of her actions, her parents left her everything in the will which means she does have every right to it.
Yes, Gamlen stayed with and took care of his parents and deserved more.. but then he always was an idiot.

Yeah. I can't believe Leandra was the one who caused us to be born in the land of wet dogs instead of being born nobles in the Free Marches. Because of her, I have this awful accent instead of . . . well, the same exact accent!!

If you have a LI before she has the talk with you about getting remarried, she will mention your LI.

[Edit]  I thought she said more about it, but apparently she just says their name.  I do wish they had fleshed that out more.

That made absolutely no difference, the estate was brought back by the money Hawke made in the Deep Roads, her useless babbling made no difference. Also, and I admit I could be wrong, I would have thought the will would be amde null and void because she was a criminal who heped an apostate escape and fled justice for decades?

I hate to say it, but after getting to Kirkwall she sort of had the life drained out of her (pun!) because she had so little to say. When she does talk it's to complain. So when you get that feeling of "Oh god! I have to save mom!" it only lasts until she gets up like the the corpse bride and then... well I was laughing. "Blame ME for Carver dying, huh?! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

I'm a bad person.
