Just remeber that it wasn't the Mako that had problems, it was the terrain.

So you are saying the mako wasnt built to handle the terrain? No, it wasnt definitly the mako.

No don't get me wrong the Mako did have some handiling problems and had a crap aiming system but the majority of the problems were caused by the terain.

Well Mako had a learning curve... But after few missions I was able to pilot it very easily!!!
It is very disappointing that ME3 will not have planetary exploration!!!

I miss you Mass effect 1
Your massive enviroments
Your 80s/Techno style Sci-Fi
Your costumisation
Your deep and twisting plot
Your godly music

I know I can play ME1 when ever I want but still as much as I love ME2 it's a shame to have seen so much of what made the first game great gone in ME2
Don't get me wrong I love ME2 and I am thoroughly impressed with the amazing job BioWare did with the game
But whilst BioWare improved the combat, tweaked the graphics and more I feel as if BioWare should have been more faithfull to the first game

And if you want your nostalgai vision magnified try this:
masseffect.bioware.com/me1/index.html

So hopefully ME3 will just have a few more of the elements of ME1
So I this is a thread for disscussing what we would like from ME1 to return

TL;DR Just read the last sentence
=]

Edit: I have now created a group for people who miss ME1 here it is:
social.bioware.com/group/4077/#group

2nd Edit: Please note this is not a ME1 vs ME2 thread. This thread is only for disscussing what we miss from ME1 and any trolling will be reported. If you wish to disscuss wether ME1is better than ME2 or vise versa please do so else where

I agree.

Oh well. ME3 looking like it's doing some things right. I have a little faith

This thread makes sad. :sigh: :'(

I guess I'm one of the few whose enthusiasm for the franchise was "killed" by ME2. I am not the the least bit enthusiastic about ME3. There is only true Mass Effect game for me and that is the first one.

Maybe YOU don't. But A LOT of people do. There's people who like it and people who don't, but don't throw out a false statement like "nobody liked it" since this thread is a haven for its supporters to show up.

They said they would include it. Better not be freaking DLC I'll tell you that.

Seeing all these screens reminds me why I loved ME1 so much.

ME2 didn't capture the magic at all.

I don't know if I'd say the franchise was killed by ME2 but I agree that it took the franchise into a very different direction.

The Mako debate is a PC vs. X-Box debate. I have played on both platforms. The Mako handles much better on the PC. Divorcing camera/turret control from steering direction makes a world of difference.

I played it on Xbox, and once again I could drive it just fine.

I was shocked and appalled when I found out so many people were having a hard time and even more shicked when they removed it in ME2.

They said it would be more like ME2 in that it won't be required(Goodbye stupid Therum path, so annoying on Insanity....) but that there will be some extra areas with vehicles. They haven't commented on the type of vehicle or activity. The only thing we don't know is what will it be. I'm gonna bet there will be some dealings with the Mako, even if it's not every other planet.

Eh it's been years since I played it on PC so I can't really comment on that.
But I'll always remeber with Halo 1 the warthog was tons of fun but clunky so for Halo 2,3 and Reach Bungie tweaked the Warthog to perfection, but what does BioWare do with the Mako ? Why they get rid of it all together!

Ah Ok that sounds alright.
It sounds as if it's going to be along the lines of "Overload" (Wich is really good)

It is much harder to kill thresher maws and Collosi in the Mako on the X-Box.  On the X-Box, the movement direction is relative to the turret position, so attempts to steer while zoomed in (which is particularly useful for thresher maws) become confusing very fast.  On the PC, forward is forward no matter where the turret is facing.  This makes it easy to steer with the turret to the side or to the rear.

Like how they got rid of elevatore and pressure locks when people complained.

We didn't want loading screens or mission complete screens Bioware, goddamn we just wanted them shorter.

Or for you to find other clever ways to hide loading. Damn it Bioware.

And no one told you to replace planet exploration with mining! Who the hell thought this was a good idea!? We wanted you to make exploratiin better and the planets more unique.

Why do you do these things to me?:crying:
