I miss the facial animations.

ME2 is terrible on that department.

Kelly is a very pretty girl, but when she smiles, her face looks absolutely disgusting. Just look at her face when she talks to you after the date.

ME1's facial animations were way better.

What you didnt like this?

I can tell you what I don't miss.

The inventory, the armors (I liked the colors, though), the way power levels affected Shepard's accuracy (especially with sniper rifles), when enemies used BS powers like Immunity and those godawful mountains everywhere.

The feeling of exploring in ME1 was better than ME2's, though. And the antagonists were better and less blatant.

I miss you Mako.

My reaction to hearing that the Mako won't be returning in ME3, at 0:45:

The Mako had it's flaws, but the biggest was the terrain you were given to operate it on. It is was a good concept that wasn't executed well. If Bioware brought it back with terrain that was easier to navigate and more focused missions you used it on, it could be a lot of fun.

I disagree.
Nobody has once said they thought the elevators were perfect just better than the loading screens (Dont tell me you actually preffered the loading screens?)
And for the Mako everybody agrees it needed better handiling and aiming as well as better uncharted planets.
Nobody however has said they liked the planet-scanning mini game.
Bassiclly they were flawed and people wanted something better. Instead they got something worse.

Your sugar coating it. The loading screens are a charm and the Mako was great.

Yeah deffinetlly I mean look at the Halo series for instance.
The terain was badly designed in Halo and the veichles controlled horriblly but over the sequals the veichles are near perfect and even more fun than foot based combat.
Its kind of a shame that BioWare never improved it and just threw it out.

I agree, I wish with a lot of the concepts they just fixed them instead of dumping them completely such as overheating that could and should still be made into a hybrid solution. The Mako was great, I'm probably one of the few people who think so, and you'll never see a post from me in the past or future that says otherwise. Sure, it needed a few tweaks but it didn't deserve to get dumped altogether for a tin foil hover craft that doesn't even compare to this epicness or this when being dropped planet side.

Shotguns were ridiculous in ME1. You could actually snipe with those things.

Shotguns feel like shotguns in ME2.

Yeah I love BioWare but I'd be lying if I said they imporved rather than change.
For example a sequal that takes everything that was good about the original and then cranks it up to 11 would probably be something like Uncharted 2 or Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood.
These games are similar but much better than there predessecor.
And although I love ME2 and I think it does many things better than the original I dont feel like I'm playing the continuation of ME1, I feel like I'm playing another chapter in the Mass effect univerese that has little connection to the first game.

Exactly.

But I'm looking at some scans from LEVEL...and I must say I get a very ME1 vibe from them.

I have some faith in ME3.

What did I miss? "Decontamination in Progress....Decontamination In Progress..." I loved the realism. And ..the ability to actually board the Normandy without undocking; Seemed silly to enter Normandy SR2 and fly away to change your armor.

Yeah the feeling of actually being in space is a big one as well for me.
I remeber the first time going to the Citadell and god it was massive and awe-inspiring......
