I thought when I was in deep space with Miranda and all she wore on her face was a little glass covering over her mouth that it was some sort of joke. Apparently almost all the characters do something like that (can't even imagine Jack's). That is way to fake, if in a place with no atmosphere or a dense atmosphere, everyone should wear armor. That is sealed. And there should be no skin visible.

I also miss the planet exploration and the Background sidequests. Hell, just the UNC sidequests in general. Please BW bring that back at least.

I also miss the Presidium.

What I seriously missed was how combat could be anywhere. Not specific areas where you take out your gun only. Makes it more realistic and added the immersion for me.

It came with the more open worlds.  When everything is divided into mission time and non-mission time you just don't have that.  I mean geez you can't even draw your gun if you aren't on a mission.

Suit has Energized Weave. We're already researching Kevlar Shirts.

Sure but thicker kevlar protects more than thin kevlar.  You don;t wear this might protect me from a hobo with a shotgun gear when you are facing well equiped mercenary squads.

"Commander Shepard, this is Admiral Hackett.
We have an urgent situation that's come up, and it's not a DLC."
"This again? You know I have Reapers to kill."
"Shepard, I know your loyalties still lie with the Alliance, despite all that's happened, and you're the only one I can trust to get this done."
"All right, all right, what's the problem, Admiral?"
"We've got word that..."
You get the jist of it.

With the light of the galaxy map shining bright on your Shepard's face... those were good times. <3

Uh, except SPEC-OPs troops have sacrificed mobility because of the weight of other gear (i.e. Canteens, radio equipment, and ammo magazines). Purpose of the shirts is to maintain mobility while not having obvious targets saying "Shoot me in the head because I have body armor on."

If it were TIM telling us those we'd have to always 'take it in the com room' because he does it using his Quantum comm system... so they ensured that wouldn't be possible and you're stuck with e-mails telling you about a couple of N7 missions and their follow-ups. It's just not the same.

I miss the sense of deepness, of living in a real galaxy, attention to all small dettails.

ME1 was a window to another galaxy, a portal to a futuristic dimension...
ME2 instead to me is just a monotone TPS... Unfortuantelly ME3 will be like ME2 for what we have see/read so far.

It's my hope too. I enjoyed having people in different on-board clothes/armor on the Normandy.    With the Appearance packs I can do that with Miranda.     I mean I give Bioware credit for stunning appearance and character creation for all of their characters.....  but a lot of their looks were not fit for combat but rather fit for fighting on Omega.
I think everyone should have a casual on-board look.  Turians and Krogans too. and everyone gets combat armor outside of the Normandy.     That way you can have artistic creativity for the devs and the combat desires for the fans.

I'll agree that I did feel that ME1 was a portal to a futuristic galaxy but the game-play was flawed.
Whislt ME2 lacks the same amount of "openess" ME3 looks like it well have a upgraded version of ME2's combat and a story more in the style of ME1. (Sounds like the perfect game for me...)

Yeah I bet BioWare will do something like that.
Another thing though is why does Garrus always wear armor onboard the Normandy. He does have a causal outfit but he never seems to use it (Excluding Garrus' romance scene)

Turians are military. Including the civilians... it's who they are.

I think Garrus just likes wearing his Agent armor because... well he's a turian.

H.C. you have still hope for ME3 after the recent Financial Statments of Riccitiello ?

I lost my faith with ME2... To this you can also add: no more Drew Karpyshyn, 2 year development time, the "uncharted" parallelism made by GI...
Also the GI special is focused only on action and enemies... They just speak about weapons customization (a la Crysis 2 I think) and richer abilities trees (aka arcade power-up)....
Now Riccitiello said that ME3 will be MORE MAINSTREAM than ME1 and ME2....

I miss ME1 but more than ever I miss the two sequels that could have been but we will never see...
Thanks EA

The combat is just a part of ME1 perfect equation.
In ME2 combat is everything. You have ONLY to shoot.
Again maybe you are one of many that have played ME1 after ME1 looking for another action TPS...

Believe me... Mass Effect 1 was a unique materpiece!

I'm not. Keep assuming tho. I don't play FPS games, I play RPGs. This RPG just happens to be a TPS. But gameplay is a big part of a game (go figure) and ME2 had better gameplay. ME1 had a better story. Each game is great and each game did some things better than the other. Hopefully ME3 can he the best of both.
