Yeah I they havent talked about uncharted worlds for ME3, but it could be something great in a ME MMORPG!Destroy Raiden wrote...
Yes all squad mates need armor when in unsafe ports, war zones, and hazard zones those failing to comply will meet with the nearest airlock and not be provided with breather masks.
I also miss all the beautiful uncharted world sky scenes the meteor shower, the red dust planets, bring down the sky asteroid sky scene, the monkey world.
The free roaming worlds I could climb the mountains or descend into the steepest craters.
I agree with TuRiAn_AllY that shep spoke solo way to much in ME2 sure not all of his lines were cringe worthy but I was like hey I don't want to say that! Or hit them don't talk them to death!
What we miss from ME1 :( *Now with a group of over 140 members!* *We have reached over 40 pages!* *Now with poll!*

Remember any times where the choices were like 'Oh, Really, and Damn It'? It's very lolworthy but come on.
I'm actually glad that they stripped away those 'false choices' for parts where they really weren't able to put in extra dialogue & choreography.
Custom dialogue is a hell of a big thing... I don't want to put any stress for there to be choices for absolutely everything all the time. Just most of the time.

I guess, I just hope ME3 dosent have Arrival level of Shepard-talking-without-a-option.......CajNatalie wrote...
You know about Shepard talking without an option... there were PLENTY of times in ME1 where no matter what you picked Shep would always say the exact same thing.

I mean there must have been what, 3 or so times the dialog wheel came up and Shepard talked about 10 times in the whole DLC!

Which game had the most refined combat mechanics: ME2
Which game had my favourite combat mechanics: ME1
I dunno...I just felt that the combat in ME1 was much more tactical, and hence more satisfying when you were successful. In ME2, it was much more Gears of War, meaning that all you had to do to guarantee success was simply find cover. That, and make sure you had enough ammo. And that was it.

The weapon mods helped with that.

I've only started feeling any real satisfaction with combat in ME2 since playing Vanguard.Da Mecca wrote...

They're the only class that doesn't stick to cover 100% of the time.
Damn I love Charge. I even charge in to YMIRs when they've been softened up enough... they blow up right in my face but I don't care - it's goddamn fun to get out of cover and in to your enemy's face.

There are some things I liked in ME1 a lot better than ME2 (semi-entertaining loadscreens for one...) but the music?
Maaaan. I am so deeply in love with the music of ME2. To date it's the only soundtrack music that I have actually put on my playlist, and I listen to it quite regularly. I was quite disappointed when I heard they're not bringing back Jack Wall and David Kates to do ME3

ME2 music seems to be consistently okay, though... the disadvantage being that there's nothing great standing out that makes me want to turn the sound up for.

You should listen to Halo then. Greatest OST ever. Hands down. I hope ME3 surpasses it though (crosses fingers). I also hope they play Vigil more. That was the opening piece right?

I would like to see some actual squad banter, as that what usually makes Bioware's games really shine. It just gives you the feeling that the characters are actually real. This is why the Baldur's Gate games were so great. Half the fun was seeing what conversations/arguements would break out between party members during the game. ME2 relied a bit too much on scripted mission comments, and in the end all the characters when they aren't on the Normandy/Cutscene seem like robots.
I concur with the inclusion of squad banter. It definitely helps with the game player's immersion into the story. Just thinking of all the different personality types in ME2, I would have loved to have "ear" witnessed the interpersonal dynamics of Shepard's teammates, e.g., Miranda and Jack at each other's throats, Kasumi's growing crush on Jacob, Thane the fluid philosopher assassin versus Samara the rigid warrior monk, Joker vs. Everybody, etc.
Furthermore, all those moments of Shepard bellying up to the bar were missed gameplay moments of checking out what your teammates REALLY think as they find themselves three sheets to the wind, i.e., thoroughly intoxicated....

Yeah I think ME2 is pretty bad in terms of squad interactions. Which is even sadder considering how great the characters were.......
