Okay i wanna start this journey into the depths of my own loss of sanity. I tried doing a New game + but it just boots the whole sucker up when i choose a past profile. Is there a way to start it off on insanity or should I just sack up and go FNG?

when using an existing profile, just go into the gameplay options and manually change the difficulty after you sit through the intro and you gain control of your character. also, you COULD just create a new toon from scratch on insanity, but, that is rough starting out as a fresh level 1, unless you use cheat codes.

I have heard that if you're going for the achievement, so long as you set the difficulty to Insanity before touching the beacon you will be fine.
