At the beginning of ACT 2 Merrill's Companion quest "mourning" is already listed as "completed".

Her quest "Consoling Words" does not appear. Neither does the "mirror" quest later in act 2.

I ended ACT 1 with Bethany becoming a grey warden. (don't know if that helps)

i wonder if the eventual patch will fix saves in act 2 or do i have to go back to act 1? 
I'm 6 hrs into act 2, i'd hate to do that all over again.
