I imported my save from Origins where my Cousland cured the werewolves, Hawke encounters a dalish however that isn't exactly happy about that choice and wants to kill a human for killing her mother when he was cursed. Apparently, there's a dialogue option in which you can convince her she's doing the wrong thing, but I'm not getting it, help?

You're very lucky. I have a save right around that area . . .
Bottom left, option with the olive branch. Text is "Don't do this" and Hawke asks "Is this what your mother would want?"
You might need a diplomatic Hawke to even see it? Don't know.

That's the thing, I'm not getting the olive branch. I get three options, two of them are the obvious immediate siding with either elf or human (Let him go and Do What you will) and then I also get the ? option of 'A werewolf?'

sorry about last post found some info on google here
Depending on the options either imported or chosen regarding the Dalish Elves and the werewolves in Dragon Age: Origins, in the first year there may be an encounter with several Dalish Elves in the southern potion of the map. If a history where the werewolves were cured was either imported or chosen, you will find a Dalish Assassin leading a group of four Dalish Warriors accosting a human for having killed her mother as a werewolf. In the dialogue that follows, a battle withe the elves can be avoided by either siding with them against the human or convincing the assassin killing the human isn't what her mother would have wanted. The latter option seems to be possible only if sufficient "good" dialogue options have been chosen up to this point.

Yeah, as I suspected. You need a diplomatic Hawke.

I knew playing a sarcastic Hawke was going to bite me in the back eventually... Thanks anyway.

On the other hand, some situations can be solved peacefully with a sarcastic hawke that can't be solved with a diplomatic Hawke. That's the new way it goes. No matter what persona you choose in the end you can't hope to solve all the situations in a diplomatic way. The situations you may solve change with the persona.
