We know next to nothing about the alliance, or what's to stop the intelligent darkspawn from defying the Architect and declaring war on humanity. The Architect couldn't control the Mother and her followers any more than he can control any of the newly sentient darkspawn.

Is there even any alliance in the first place? Its being referred to as fact for some reason but I don't recall this ever being stated in-game. When I met Nathaniel all he said was that they were investigating the Deep Roads or something since the Warden spared the Architect, whom he describes as "sentient Darkspawn: very dangerous." He then goes on to mention "new allies", which could mean anything and not necessarily the Architects posse of sentient Darkspawn.

Regarding the Architect specifically we have no real idea what his plans or means are. He said he wants to stop the Blights but after the debacle with the Mother hes going to think twice about freeing any more Darkspawn. This also assumes he was being sincere... he could be trying to bend the remaining Archdemons to his will for all we know.

The implication is that it is the sentient darkspawn, when Nathaniel mentions it being someone who knows the darkspawn very well. When Hawke asks if they're dwarfs, Nathaniel just says it's not dwarfs, and that it's complicated.

GW treaties says elves, dwarfs & mages are required to help during a BLIGHT, and that's it right? If GW need help with any other matter than the treaties doesn't even matter at all.

Alistair & probably our Warden got yelled at or something like that by the GW HQ when they interfere with events of the civic war, Dwarf & circle business even all those were to help stop the Blight, you can see how serious the GW's take on neutrality.

Being a GW isn't a charity or anything like that.

Implication is a long way from fact, which is how some people seem to be treating it. It could just as easily be Flemeth, or something new entirely.

Right, considering Blights are normally events that span much of Thedas and cause countless amounts of casualties and military expenditure I reeeeeeeeeeeeally doubt Warden HQ's reaction to the two people that ended one in less than a year before it spilled from Ferelden would be to bollock them over what they did in order to accomplish this.

I thought Stroud was pretty awesome in my opinion, that may just be because he was like the only guy wearing the epic grey warden armor + he had riordans voice, don't really mind the moustache though.

Three Grey Wardens weren't going to make much of a difference in that fight, better that they leave and pass on the word that another Qun invasion may be in the offing so people can prepare, than lend their 3 swords to a war. Besides which, Stroud suggests that something more important is going on, that the Wardens are aware of, and considering what their jobs entail I would rather he address that other problem - which might well threaten all of Thedas - than stick around Kirkwall.
