So okay, my character is a human noble berserker and the preferable armor set for him are medium.
Does it make a difference if I put in a heavy armor? My current armor is Wade Superior Dragonskin Armor (Gloves, Boots and Armor) without helmet. I appear to have Honnleath Helmet (Heavy Armor). So does wearing a heavy armor resulting a penalty or something? Or I can just mix match everything just to bonuses that I wanted?

You can wear anything you meet the requirements for. Heavier equipment does, however, incur a fatigue penalty - meaning you can't use talents as often. Your character sheet shows your current fatigue penalty.
For warriors, heavier armor is usually better (exceptions do exist).

I see, so other than set items like chainmail set, there is no other purpose to equip the "matching" set such as all heavies or medium. Just a matter of fatigue, then?
Thank you~

Only set items give any bonuses. There are several good heavy and massive armor sets for warriors.
