 Ok call me an idiot but i can't find the searchfunction on this forum so i wil ask myself.
Will equiping Merrill with bloodmagic rings/amulets etc. aid her or not? I mean she doesn't have a bloodmagic tree but she obviously uses it??

LOL, as best as I can tell there isn't a search function.  Strangest forum design even.

to my knowledge, it WILL help her when she has her Blood-Magic-like sustained ability active in her personal tree, Blood magic enhancing items enhance her version just as well

Oh there is a search function. They disable it during times of heavy traffic though (like the release of a game). Unfortunately, the search function itself is not very functional either.
