*SPOILER ALERT*

For those of you that have seen the videos floating around of Arrival and the rescue of Dr Amanda Kenson I have a question to put to you. One of the leaked achievements/trophies for the DLC reads like this:

"Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention"
After watching the video of the rescue it seems like it is going to be emminently difficult if not nigh impossible to sneak her out. Or do you think that Bioware isn't going to include that wave of guards when she is hacking the console for the achievement?

I assume the achievement will be unlocked after you've successfully infiltrated the prison and found Dr. Kenson. After that, the alarm will invariably be triggered.

I figured that wouldn't be the case since the wording was "rescue" instead of just locating her.

If I want a mission operated covertly, I'm probably not sending Commander Shepard, one of the most visible faces in the galaxy, and who has a reputation for not being very... discrete.

Probably means find her without triggering any firefights.

After that it is free game.

Watching the video again I notice that once you free the Doctor she talks about hacking the cameras. Then instead of listening to her Shepard is lead straight out and fires at a Batarian, earning some renegade points.

I think this section could be quite long if you manage to find the cameras for her to hack...

I would say the best team to send in would be Thane and Kasumi....maybe Legion or Tali to do some hacking somehow...but Shepard? Standard Shepard is a freaking soldier.

Well, Infiltrator Shepard is a natural for this mission. I bet they don't even have to worry about cameras or anything to get the achievement. Just put on their cloak and hope that the good Doctor doesn't alert the Batarians.

I think it's just going in and out and that is considered a successful stealth mission regardless of how big of a boom you make.

Only Infiltrators and really sneaky Soldiers will be able to get that achievement.

So my glowing sentinel tech armor is a no-go?

Meh. I can always use my maxed out Infiltrator if I need to.

The cardboard box: treat it with love.

If wearing a visor gives you +10% headshot damage, does wearing a headband give you +10% sneaking?

It's not exactly a "leaked" achievement. The new achievements have shown up on my screen for at least a week, if not more. I do think it's weird that Bioware is playing this off as "it will be harder because you wont have squadmates." Word to Bioware...that probably makes it easier since my squadmates generally weren't helpful except to occasionally save ammo. If there are waves of bad guys, I'm almost certain they wouldn't last past the first one on insanity even when using a lot of squad orders.

Anyways, all of their achievements to date have been fairly easy to obtain (shadow brokers ones were very easy). So I wouldn't worry too terribly much.

:D

Fun references to other media would be awesome!

But I'd like it so that it would be implemented as a special feature.
FONV has something like this with Wild Wasteland (you didn't read it from me...)

It was a long wait, but SC2's first campaign was worth it
I look forward to the next ones. B)
