Bioware: Any chance of the Hero of Ferelden making a comeback in DA3?

Now of course, this would be a lot of work, but I think it would pay off in the ending. Now I know people might get mad being the Hero of Ferelden being the fact that they would have to give them a voice. Which I think if they just used the voice you picked in the first game for combat that might work.
Though of course, this would also be a lot of work since not everyone's Hero of Fereldens lived, but it would be really cool if they did.
Anyone else agree..?

But I doubt that it would be feasible.
The sheer amount of work they would have to put into it to bring back the Warden in a well developed character, thinkking about all the possibilities used so far, voice actors, having to import the models back from Origins... Let alone that they already spent so much on developing the character of Hawke. I have strong doubts about that happening. Possibly in a canon sense. But I would be very happy if they did.

Dark Ritual, where Morrigan wishes to sleep with either male Warden or Alistair/Loghan in order to absorb the Old God soul of the Archdemon into the child to be born of said union.
And given they have already made some things cannon already in DA2 I suspect they could find a why of making sure the DR happened.
I certainly would like playing the Warden, and would vote for it. If not though, I hope I don't get stuck with having to play Hawke as my only option (or another fixed pre-generated character)

My suspicion is DA3 will once again start with a new character but the Warden and Hawke will make cameos or have significant supporting roles. This solves the problem of what to do with a character that is a superhero already and heading for demigod status. You start all over again with a level 1 character as they did in DA2. Voice actors, models, etc. are all easily solved technical problems. They did it, although rather unevenly, in DA2 with characters from DAO. Zevran gained weight but Leliana look like she did in DAO.

It certainly would be funny to see, at least.

DAIII will have the player control Cassandra, dealing with the mage rebellion and templar uprising. She is, other than the player, the only one in the Dragon Age universe to fully know the story of the Warden (from Leliana, a bard and fellow Seeker) and the story of Hawke (from Varric, a storyteller). She is in the position of making sense out of things and fix the world. With help of course, so maybe Leliana, Morrigan, Hawke, and the Warden as companions? Implementing this would be a nightmare but also refreshingly awesome (to me).

Because it's safer for the kid to be with Hawke blah blah blah.
Hawke does a lot of running around trying to restore order while never passing up on a menial quest that will earn him one sovereign.
He will continue his ruthless slaughter of waves of random bandits.
Finally Hawke finds out what OGB really is near the end of the game and then the kid turns into a dragon and battles with Flemeth who's also a dragon, and who shocks us all by revealing that she's actually the "good guy" and OGB is the evil one.
The End.

I don't really see how having a dead warden is an obstacle, there's the Orlesian to continue that story. Not ideal to some I imagine but another play through (if it hasn't been done already) w/DR is all it takes to play a warden you created.
As to the DR, would it really have to be cannon to continue the story? These are just imaginings but maybe Morrigan gets what she wants regardless of your cooperation. Could be she only offered it to the warden (maybe depending on his/her relationship with her) either to help or because it was it was a more reliable way to achieve her goal? The look she gives when she leaves if you refuse and the "rumor" in the epilogue would fit nicely.

Fair enough.
Might be more accurate to say they'd have to make the US NOT happening canon.

That might be a viable option, assuming you didn't die a martyr in the DAO. There's a lot still up in the air, and (even though everyone seems to think I'm crazy) I still have my fingers crossed for a DAII expansion.

I still think it would make perfectly good sense to just have the Orlesian Warden-Commander fill in if you have an US Warden, especially since it's a strong bet that DA3 is going to have at least some action in Orlais.
Really, though, I'm just interested in finding a way to keep the Warden-Morrigan-Voodoo Child plotline rolling with at least a modicum of control over it.

Oh sure. They can give us the Orlesian Warden, or any other Warden for that matter.
I'm just commenting on the Hero of Ferelden. Who may be dead.

he is dead in a lot of playthroughs for many people or he disappeared with Morrigan in the mirror.
not only that but since they changed the engine they can't directly import his face..so even if he did he'd be masked in some way or it would just be in mention or something.
and no..do NOT have us play Cassandra...a party member sure..but NOT as our PC...you really want them removing even more choice and customization from the game?? There's enough stupid hand-waving of your "choices" in DA:O in DA2. We dont' need anymore trite hand-waving for DA3.

They probably can import the character face and such. I mean if you noticed in DA2, their were many faces and hairs and such from the original DA:O.

uh huh..look at a Dalish or City Elf in DA:O. Now look at DA2 elves.
tell me they can import that. And even if they could I certainly wouldn't want MY elf Warden to be butchered to someone I barely recognize (even if I don't consider those playthroughs my "personal canon" or not) Similar pieces or not..it's not the same. And I believe BioWare themself said that imports can't/don't read the .mor files..at least not for the warden.
or in short.

Indeed. While I'm all for more strong female leads in videogames, Dragon Age is not a series to start making set characters. removing the customisation that many of us enjoy.
Unless it were a spinoff or DLC, that could work. Though the plot would ultimately be futile.. but hey it could involve tracking down and interrogating the Warden and Hawke's companions.
Yes I just want an excuse to beat the crap out of Oghren and Nathaniel.

There's this thing called a character creator, it has this ability to craft a character's appearances to something one finds acceptable.
If the Warden comes back in DA3, they can just use that. It'd hardly be different from Varric starting his tale with default Hawke and then sending you to the character creator after Cassandra forces him to start over.

see my comment about trite hand-waving. no they shouldn't do this. The Wardens story is over. Let him be gone.

That seems to be an easy fix, especially if someone from DA:O/Awakening is with you at the time...
Random Dude: "Serah! Is it true you traveled with the Hero of Ferelden/Warden-Commander of Vigil's Keep?"
Legacy Compaion (probably Leliana): "Why, yes I did."
RD: "Amazing! I wonder what such a person would look like..."
*start CC for the Hero of Ferelden/Orlesian Warden*
...only thing is that, unless it's just a silent role, the Warden's gonna need at least 6 sets of voices; Male/Female versions that fit with Humans, Dwarves, and Elves (and perhaps more, if you take Dalish or Human Orlesian accents in acount... though I think it would be kinda funny if the Orlesian Warden would talk in a Ferelden accent, and when that was questioned, drop into a perfect Orlesian accent while talking about how much easier it is to get things done in Ferelden when people don't think you're there to start the occupation all over again
