Hey

So i'm now on Act 3 and it's only just dawned on me I've not done any companion quests since Act 1 for Fenris and maybe spoke to him once (if that) in Act 2.  Other than this, I've done every quest/companion q/side quest etc that's came up.  I've found out I should have been able to speak with Fenris in Act 2 and initiate his companion quest "A bitter pill", but nothing.

Now that I'm on Act 3 it's too late I realise and won't be able to do his Act 3 quest either which is really annoying.  Why did his quests not show up for me like everyone elses?  Has anyone else had this same problem?

I'm absolutely loving Dragon Age 2 but I've never played a game this incomplete before with so many glitches/bugs.  Other than this I think it's fantastic but it is poor how many small glitches interfere with the game - especially one as important as a main character's entire quest line.  I was really looking forward to taking on his Tevinter slavers and saving him from his former master...but now it's a no go. :(

Same here, when I went over to him in act 2, he never said a word, just minced around his empty house...proper gutted...although he conflicts with mages so creating a strong team without variety sucks a bit, try again on the next play through!

Bring him along when you head to the Wound Coast area (or any place outside of Kirkwall). It will trigger his quest which leads to the Act 3 quest.

Yeah it's too late now though unless I do another play through in the future (already at 60 hours in Act 3 though!) It should have been there in the first place. Whenever you'd try talk to him he'd just go "HAWK!", lol, what a spanner.

Yeah he has 2 quests, one in act 2 and second in act 3. You need him in party during act 2 for it to happen though.

It helps when if you bring him along for sidequests aswell (if you normally ditch him like i do :D)

I missed his quests first time since I didn't have him in my party, and second time I forgot to even recruit him (I skipped a few quests in Act 1 including his)
on reflection it's not too surprising though, since Origins had a few companion quests which would only trigger if they were in your party (Leliana and Wynne)

Good thing I read this thread before I finished Act 2, I just did his Act 2 sidequest and it was the best one imo. I hated him before, but doing his sidequest made me like him a lot more.
And the dungeon in his sidequest actually looked unique, I was shocked lol.

it's not unique, it's the same as all the non-Deep-Roads Deep Roads bits (ie: any that don't involve going to the section you go to between Acts 1 & 2) and is used in the Nexus cave at Sundermount, the Magistrates quest and I think a few others

but it is a good quest, and you get a bonus servant/slave

they had a room with a sunlight in it, which looked hot.
and they had barred cages on the side, it looked different enough for me. Instead of the cookie cutter caves I mostly see.

yes that is true, they changed it a little. which only goes to show that they could have made the other reused locations more bearable by redecorating them somewhat
