This has probably been covered somewhere, but I don't feel like looking it up. How do you fancy the chances of Balak being in the upcoming Arrival DLC?

I'm thinking if Shep didn't kill him in ME1, he will get his chance to in ME3....In ME2 the Galactic news mentions that Balak is still at large....I'm suspecting the same with Vido....Small side line quests, yes, but still there.

I wont be seeing him as I killed him ME1. What I would have done is get one of my squad member to rescue to civilians while Shepard and my other squad member go after Balak. That would be the smart thing to do but unfortunately we arent given those choices so Kate had to die in my playthrough

ooo, i never knew that. i killed balak in my shep playthru tho. it seemed like a tough choice, but stopping him now was much smarter than letting him go off to terrorize the next colony..
also the batarians are such whiners, "waaah!!! you took our planets we were thinking about colonizing! its your fault we are slow, waaaah!!"
im sorry i just really dont like batarians, ever since i met balak i knew i would hate that race. [end rant]

I'd like him not to appear again. I just don't want everything to be all rosy and wrapped up in ME3. We made our choice, it was a tough choice but our regard for human life was more important than the death of one criminal.

Having now done this three times, killing him once and saving the hostages twice, definitely personally aside from paragon reasons and background (colonist/war hero) I like letting him go. It is a nice build up for a personal mission to bring him down later and make it personal. He's the best "side quest" villain.
ME3 has to have a Balak related quest... and for balance it'd be a mission open to either decision, a similar one where some Balak acolyte takes up his reigns if you killed him or something...
Has to be a mission esp when ME2 has the news report if he was let go. This is ME decisions should carry weight, makes replay even more worthwhile.

CapRedKangaroo is right. He's the only sidequest villain that stands out, better than Fist. Furthermore, you have voiced my problem with Balk in future DOC: there has to be balance. It isn't fair to have DLC with a villain you may have already killed. This isn't a problem for me, but Renegades deserve their own take on this.
