Well I did a couple of playthroughs legitimately and now i'm going through with some mods, if your worried about the gear and are using the PC version i highly recommend Sunnies item packs http://social.biowar...ect/4305/#files they make it so the unique items level with you so they are actually worth keeping.
So the level cap is apparently 50.
