Just because the people who enjoy DA2 are not posting in the forum does not mean they do not exist. The current level of whining about the new game is pretty much the same as it was when DA:O was released. Once the trolls got tired and moved on, the forum was overwhelmingly supportive of DA:O.

DA is also not the only active franchise Bioware earns income on. Mass Effect and Star Wars are certain to make them more money very soon. Somehow I suspect Bioware will be doing better than ever this year.

Oh, let's catastrophalize ourselves now shan't we?
Doom is a bit of a theoretically speaking big word. Logically speaking, BioWare was doomed, as in not independent since EA bought it, was it not?
And if fans doom BioWare, then BioWare should do what they do best - do good games.
I actually am one that supports developers listening to fans. And BW did that with DA2. Correct me if I am wrong - Outside-the-PC romances, "I'll let you loot then we go off." NPCs, complete demolition of useless spells and talents.... BioWare is loyal to their fans. So long as fans are loyal. Those that aren't, BioWare won't be loyal to. Who is to blame though, BioWare or the unfaithful? None of course. Everyone is entitled to their own ideas and opinions. If someone doesn't like BioWare, let THEM make a better game and see where that ends...
Correct me if I am wrong.

Well, you're not wrong, Bioware is very apt at "trimming the fat" when making a sequel. ME2 for instance. And sometimes fans do not seem to know what they want. The complaints about both ME1 and 2 sound like a Lou and Andy sketch: Andy: "I Don't want a ground vehicle"/ Lou: "But you love ground vehicles?"/ "I Don't want a ground vehicle!!" / Lou: "Are you sure, because you really like them normally?" / "I DON'T WANT A GROUND VEHICLE" / Lou: "Ok, I'll take it away then..." / Andy: "Ohh... I loved my ground vehicle....."

It almost sounds like fans don't have common sense. In which this case, you are wrong. Unless you are a 12 year old gamer who devotes his time godly to Counter Strike, Call of Duty or any other game that companies can make money off of, than that's more true then you realize.

Gamers of the past and some today have one thing: Common Sense. They can recognize when a game is good, when a game has good story, gameplay and concepts. Fanatics are just devoted fans of a community based on those games they enjoyed. Made up of both illogical and logical arguments to defend their game.

Games do not to be evolved or fix if they have already held critical acclaim. Turok evolution gave that to the gamers of today, only to be shot down by 'professional critic.' And Turok 2008 was just another fast pace FPS that the market demands. It's more like de-evolution.
Sure you can make little changes to the game. But don't strip down all the ****ing factors that made the games and games in that genre good in the first place.
