I know that this "comes out" November 3rd, but I was just at Gamestop to change my pre-order from 360 to PS3 now that they are coming out at the same time and the guy mentioned to me that there is no street date so they will sell the games whenever they arrive.
My question is, how likely do you think the shipments might arrive early. I know it rarely happens, but sometimes it does. Just within the last month some random RPG came out on a Saturday (4 days early) so its possible. I know its a long shot, but I'm DYING to play this.

From what I can tell that guy at your gamestop is an idiot. Nov 3rd is the street date. All stors will have the game on shelf that morning. Alot of Gamestops are actually doing a midnight realese of the game. So yes you will have to wait till the 3rd.

Ah well. I at least had a glimmer that my Gamestop was finally one of the lucky rule-breakers that sold games early that I always here about, but are always hundreds of miles away... So is life.

I've gotten games as early as a week in advance. If your store is one of the ones that ignore the street date, then you might get it before November 3rd.

They usually get this very big sign inside the box where the games comes from that says, "Don't sell in till Nov 3rd."

Doubt it has anything to do with Canada since the Netherlands and Canada continue to maintain and excellent relationship. My guess its the beast that is EA ;-)

Isn't the 3rd the ship date. If so then I doubt it'l be available at most places on the 3rd but rather the 4th

I think the 2nd is the ship date Doc. Like one poster said there are many places doing Midnight releases on Tuesday morning.

Actually, the reason European countries don't get the game until the 5th is as simple as video games tend to come out on Tuesday or Sunday in North America, and Thursdays in most other countries. Just like how movies tend to open on Friday nights.
Also, it should be available for purchase everywhere in North America on the 3rd. Big games like this usually don't arrive late.
