so you only get to learn of Karl being Anders' lover if you play as a male hawke.

is there something similar for playing as a fem!hawke? i know its only a few lines but you get to learn a part of his past you otherwise wouldn't have known about as a female. is there female exclusive content? i know you can only flirt with seb as a female but you don't really learn anything about him, only see an awkward, mumbly stumbly reaction.

As far as I know, he never mentions it to a female Hawke. Nor does he discuss his previous relationships in any detail.

Ive been with anders as a male lol, and i do recall him saying something about him and karl were together when they where in the circle as teenagers, but im not 100% sure.

yeah i've done the anders romance a few times, just wondering if there was something i overlooked though, it really feels like i'm missing out playing a female. or that playing as a guy gets you more depth, though i hate to say it like that.

well is there any content at all that lady hawke gets that male hawkes dont? even with other characters?

I'm playing female and not romancing Anders. When he asked Hawke for a 'favor for a favor' when you meet him the impression I came away with was that they were more than just friends. It's something in how he says, "They can't care about you anymore." And the facial expression/body language. It left my lady Hawke thinking Ander's had a set preference for romance. This gave me the uncomfortable feeling when he came onto Hawke shortly thereafter.

I keep reminding myself that I'm not supposed to know Anders or anything about him so play it from that angle.

Obviously, as mentioned before there's an entire romance option opened up with Sebastian. Although I'm not sure who would want it, he's already a pretty bland character in my opinion, and a chaste relationship is practically doomed to failure before it begins.

Other than that, I'm not exactly sure. I haven't played as a female Hawke. I guess you could think of it this way: Anders would be more or less afraid to admit to having intercourse with a man in front of a woman he was hoping to hook up with, however he's not shy when it comes to chasing after a guy he's interested in. I don't know, it's Anders, he's all sorts of messed up.

You dont really get any insight to his character though, or bits of his past (referring to Seb romance). it's also not availeble unless you preordered or pay for the additional content.

I've played female Hawke 3 times, and I never had any hint of Anders and Karl's special relationship. I just thought they were good friends. Maybe my gaydar for computer characters is broken - lol. But I just thought he was upset about losing his friend. He never told me they were lovers.

When I played male Hawke, I was surprised by the extra detail. I wondered why he didn't tell female Hawke the same information. Just another thing the bastard was hiding from me.
