Alright, played it so far till the end of chapter 1.
A few things...
- Story seems so far pretty solid
- Combat is a bit consolified but in the end it isn't that you can't get used to it....
- Beautifull environments/maps, but VERY much reused. That's a bit disappointing.
- The AI. Alright, autotactics get added when you've your companions learn a new talent or spell. Not bad. The parameters for it are a bit sucky when you're looking at it (when someone sets it themselves it is usually better, but at least it is better then DA:O's tactics), but it is a minor annoyance.
MAJOR annoyance... although in small combat (<boss level) it isn't such a big deal, in the fight with the Ancient Rock Wraith it is a big deal... namely, the ****ing party AI tends to walk right behind you when it shouldn't, or not when it should. Only time they come after you at the right time is when taking cover from the lyrium shards attack (or whatever it is), and even then 4 out of 10 times they fail to take OK cover.... not to mention Barkspawn, who just stands there and gets the full power of the attack on him, thereby dying.
Situation in the fight my rangers and mages should follow: at the start, when the Rock Wraith starts throwing electricity-based attacks around. I must MANUALLY get them out of range, because (as opposed to DA:O) there is NO ****ING TACTIC TO TELL THEM TO FOLLOW ME when magic or ranged attacks are taking place (thereby, it is IMPOSSIBLE to set anticipating tactics for such a fight, since there is not even an option to tell them to anticipate certain moves. So yeah, Bethany and Varric keep dying on me. Fine job Bioware, NOT!).
- Pissed off TUHD since due to the ****ing tactics he always comes 2% of the Rock Wraith's health short before he dies himself like the rest of the party
