Currently the lighting on my level mostly seems to work with one major exception. Until a room is entered it seems to be invisible and entirely nonexistent, simply showing the skybox instead. When walked into, though, the room suddenly appears and works normally.
I though that perhaps if I got lights working so that they illuminated nearby rooms in addition to their own then it would work properly, but I can't figure out how to do this and the wiki is exceptionally vague on this detail.
Rooms invisible until entered.

Check the wiki entry on level editing. It explains how to make rooms visible from other rooms. That is assuming you are using multiple 'rooms' in the logical (insert --> room) rather than visual sense.

This should be able to help you: http://social.biowar...nd_connectivity
The simplest way is to use the 'Generate Visibility Graph' button in Room Properties, but you can manually set which rooms are visible, connected and lit by the current room. Its a bit quicker doing it that way.
