Just finished 1st playthrough and have a couple questions.

1.) I did not romance anyone. Possible to do that on 2nd playthrough?

2.) I completed 1st playthrough as a Engineer. It says you get more powers on 2nd playthrough. Is that for all classes or just the class you completed it with?

3.) Which class next? :) Outside of soldier, leaning towards adept, sentinel or vanguard (really dig powers...)

thx

  • Yes it's possible to do no romances.
  • You need to unlock the talents: Here's a link where you can read a bit on how you can unlock them: http://masseffect.wi...ievements_Guide
  • Try Adept or Vanguard.

Yes you can romance Liara, Ashley, and Kaidan in me1 in your 2nd playthrough, Ashley is men only, Kaidan is for women only, and Liara is both.

If you unlocked an achievement for a weapon or power you will be able to choose it as a bonus power regardless of class or level or w/e

I think Adept is really fun because you can just unleash all your powers and destroy everything, but Infiltrator is pretty unique.

Which game?? ME1 or ME2, but the answer is basically the same for both in yeah you can. Yeah, you can romance different people on different plays without causing any issues, as long as you remember who you are doing what to on which play.  Quick edit, rumors are(never did myself) that you can change class on NG+ on ME2, but on ME1 you keep your original class though all plays.

ME1--
You continue your character resetting grenades, medigel, and character interaction(crew and the like).
You keep all your inventory, your companions gear for the most part will be put back into your inventory(I usually lose Tali's omnitool), and you will get a copy of your gear as well(so put the best gear on yourself just before you kill the last guy and can't access inventory). The game will be considerably easier starting at a higher level, with better gear and more money to buy even more stuff.

ME2--
You will lose all upgrades(yeah everything that makes your guns and powers actually feel powerful), paragon/renegade points, money also is reset(iirc)to very low and character interaction is reset.
You are supposed to keep all bought gear(ps3 has issue), and once a bonus power is unlocked it is unlocked in every play though on that account, no matter if it is ng or ng+. NG+ is actually harder than NG, because of the loss of upgrades, making this actually a less fun way to play(for me at least).

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Meant to specify this was for ME2.

Thx!

Alright...so, if i understand this, if I completed ME2 as a Engineer and want to do a 2nd playthrough, I can pick an extra power when I start the 2nd playthrough.

However, it looks like I cannot change classes and gain all my armor and such? I cant start up a adept and use the extra power slot?
That correct? If so, bummer. :(

Nevermind.
Answered my own question...

ohhhh....so, is there a thread that breaks down good bonus power for the classes?
Going to run adept now, then sentinel, then vanguard. This is going to be a blast!

youll find yourself levitating towards biotics once you start playing as the biotic classes. it addictive. if your looking to play an adept, id highly recommend starting an adept, getting singularity unlocked by spamming it on a door, then restart as a vanguard with singularity.

a singularity vanguard and a hacking infiltrator are arguably the best two classes in the game.

He's playing ME2 not 1. To clarify, you can't unlock Singularity as a bonus power in ME2, only the squad mate loyalty powers.
