I almost missed her. I was about to go to the deep roads, but decided to go to the Hanged Man for the sake of it, I think. Or maybe it was the talking to Varric thing. I can understand why you would want to miss her though. I think its a lot easier in this game than origins. Though I did miss Leliana twice in the first two playthroughs of Origins.
Completing the game without meeting Isabella...
