What are your most hated popular character?

Sephiroth. Plot hole in the story vacuum that are Final Fantasy games. There's absolutely no reason why he does what he does.
Nathan Drake: a Indy copycat D-bag.
Morrigan: a ****y witch who disaprove with everything I did.
I'll stop there before I start my Nintendo rampage.

In terms of who I do hate... as much as I love to complain (yes, I get the irony) my mind's gone blank. Arse. Oh yeah, Doom Guy: he'll do; mainly because he's utterly boring and representative of every unimaginative, tedious and personality-free avatar that has been inflicted on gamers for years.

Alyx Vance? I didn't object to her especially and she wasn't an entirely useless squad member, but I never really understood why some people got so excitable about her.KenKenpachi wrote...

Yes thats her. And why Google kept trying to tell me to do that is past me, how Women in half life two gives the result "How to saw a woman in half" is past me.vometia wrote...

I didn't mind her per-se, as much as I was pissed at how she could climb up on **** and take short cuts while I'm stuck going the long way around. Also with how she gets a damn sniper rifle while I have that crossbow.
To add on to Kirby I now hate Richard Lion Simmons.
ONE TWO ONE TWO!

Zaeed "Ain't I cool for surviving a bullet to the head" ****son needs to go on and on about how great he is and comes across as a muppet, Bobba in his first scene merely says "As you wish..." in response to Vader's "No disintegrations!" and yet that gives you a better impression and lets you know exactly what kind of person this guy is.
Needless to say, once I discovered that you could I always leave him to die on his loyalty mission now. I just wish you could put a bullet in his head as you fly off, to finish the job the other guy started...

Alistair - Whines about EVERYTHING (redcliff comes to mind), plus you cant mess with him, yet he can mess with you (sarcasm apparently isnt his humor)
Boba Fett (remastered voice version) - they killed his awesome voice from cold hearted bounty hunter to Ep2 Clone Trooper "RIGHT AWAY!" kinda voice.

I think that peeved me about Alistair: it always felt like he was looking for an excuse to get the arse-ache about something you said, even setting himself up. Then again, even Oghren sometimes did the same, especially in Awakening IIRC, though at least if he complained he did so in a less whiny manner.Gyrannon wrote...

Sten - Impossible to keep happy imo.
I worked Sten out on my last playthrough: when he sounds angry and is being confrontational with you is when you get the most approval! Just be direct and insulting, if there's a choice between a polite sentence and a two-word response then choose the two-word response everytime even if it's something like "You're wrong." I was getting +7s approvals each time I talked to him just by being an arse back to him and keeping it direct.

Alucard from Castlevania: SoTN - He's such an emo. I don't know why he's so popular. Instead of going into eternal slumber, he should just off himself. His future self is 100x better.
I hate Tweety Bird. Long live Silvester the Cat.

I would include Darth Revan, but I just remembered that Revan is not a character.
Alistair and Cloud Strife are a different breed of losers.

Alistair - Possibly the most annoying companion in a video game ever. Whines about Duncan like he was his lover, Complains and throws a hissy fit if he doesn't get things done his way even though he doesn't want to lead and generally irritated me beyond all belief when i first played Origins that i delighted in forcing him to be king and marry Anora and then sleep with Morrigan just for pay back for all the nonsense i had to listen to from him.
Ramona Flowers (From the Scott Pilgrim comics if you didn't know who i mean) - Incredibly popular with fans of the comics but she's really an uninteresting ****bag who doesn't know what she wants so screws people over to have it all.
Bane - Really popular but there is nothing that interesting about him. I just find the character incredibly boring.
Wolverine - One dimensional grunty character who is too overpowered. And he ruined the X Men movies since the writers were drooling fanboys who made them all about Wolverine while pushing out other more interesting characters to make room.
Kai from heavenly sword - She's really irritating i guess people only like her because she is weird.

The best thing about Sten is that you don't have to keep on complimenting him like all the other members who want your love and attention. You can treat him like dirt and he'll call you Kadan for it.

Aye, the others are all "Agree with me!" whereas he seems to just want to get to the point and likes commitment from his leaders rather than political speeches. It's probably this difference that causes people trouble, as they have been conditioned to be all sweet and nice to the characters they like and agree with every word to get approval.

That was the big annoyence with companions in general for DAO they all just constantly fight for the wardens attention like "Love me! Love me! LOVE ME!!!" i swear the warden has a nack for finding the most needy people in Ferelden
It seems to be a running theme with all Bioware characters I find nowadays, and I'm getting tired of it. They all seem to be some of the most opinionated people around that feel the need to spout said opinions on how how people should spend their lives and expect you to agree with them completely while reassuring them that their daddy still loves them...

Now that you mention it, I can't believe I didn't do that: the two biggest whiners in Fereldan, a non-marriage made in heaven! God, being around the pair of them IRL would make me lose the will to live.Moondoggie wrote...

What I find irritating about some of them is that they're needy, opinionated and generally objectionable, yet are at the same time unreliable and prone to being butthurt if anyone responds in kind. I know a few people like that IRL so yeah, it's well observed and everything, but I play games to get away from that stuff!FlintlockJazz wrote...

You don't get invited to funerals. Ever.
Anyway...
Morrigan: All bark, no bite. Possibly the most self-assured, narcissitic, vain, arrogant b!tch I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The fanboys like her breasticles, I guess.

Zaeed. No offense to anyone who likes him, but he comes across as how a teenager thinks a badass should act and talk. Everyone (ingame) tries to big him up almost as if they feel sorry for his pathetic mewlings themselves and are trying to make him sound better than he is. He should take a leaf out of Original-Trilogy Bobba Fett's book: keep your mouth shut except to say something perfunctory.

I agree with Boba, thats why he was more of a badass, and also why he got the wimminz. Also agree with the below poster, they ruined Boba's voice.
I do like brining Zaeed along with me however.
As to you Captian Obvious *breathes* I find your lack of literacy disturbing.

One or two of the companions being like that would have been okay and realistic, but Bioware seems to make all their characters like that. I think they just find it easier, by having a character spout all their beliefs at you and respond in exterme ways to broad actions helps make it clear what kind of person they are without having to worry that the player might miss out on more subtle cues. Adding in daddy issues then gives them an easy way to add drama and plot hooks, especially when the character is otherwise a stereotype...

A real leader don't need other's approval. That's why he approve so much when you are strict with him, Show him who's the boss and he'll be your greatest asset.
