Luke Cage
Naruto
Superman
Cable
The main character in Avatar
Everybody else in Avatar
Sookie in True Blood
Ashley from Mass Effect
Mario
Kratos
Bond
Alaan Moore. I know he's a real person but he seems more like a fictional character.

Pain's dog was named Tiny the flashback just flatout sucked and Naruto just had to rip off how Gohan got his SS2 powers with Hinata in the role of Cyborg 16.
But what I think I hate the most about that arc is the fact Pain just gives his life to bring everyone back to life why not killed off all the cast if you will do that? or better not have him bring anyone back to life.
I want to end this post with the only good things I like about Naruto nowadays and they are Bee and the Raikage:wizard:.
Oh and Naruto is still better than Bleach:lol:.
Yes, the dog's name was... unfortunate. There were definitely clichés in that arc. I liked the Hinata bit. We have known about her interest in Naruto for a long time now. Seeing her finally declare her love was a big moment; even if it used in a predictable manner. I also would not equate it to number sixteen and Gohan, since the latter maintained a semblance of self control afterward. Naruto actually won that fight by powering down.
In any case, we fundamentally differ in our views of that arc. Nagato killing himself to ressurect everyone was his redemption piece. It was basically like Vadar throwing Palpatine into the reactor in Star Wars. Yes, it was a bit hokey, but I accepted it. I also liked that it showed a contrast between Naruto and Pain and Sasuke. That is, in the end he chose nonviolence even though he probably could have killed Nagato and Konan right there. Naruto hated Nagato and did not forgive him, but still stopped short of taking vengeance. It was a refreshing change from the typical might makes right approach fight centric manga and anime often take.
I agree about Bee and Raikage, though. Also, I refuse to acknowledge Bleach exists.
And one last thing I hate about that arc is the fact Naruto is a "chosen one" way to kill the themes of the manga Kishi.

Fenris can get awfully annoying when it comes down to it, another character who thinks their personal **** is more important than dealing with the problems of kirkwall as a whole. Still, love his voice and love purposely harassing the character, the responses are always funny.
Anders, and no I don't mean dragon age 2 anders. He sucked too, but the original Anders. Paragon of unfunny, the jokes ,,so terrible were those jokes. Nothing more than a homosexual Alistair in a dress without that innocent charm.
Craig Boone in Fallout: New Vegas, boring and stupid. I wouldn't mention this character if it weren't for the fact that he's somehow super popular.
Vincent from Final Fantasy...Just no.
Reaver from Fable 3, they just pushed him down your throat too much. He was in the game more than the characters who were actually part of the storyline.
Sub Zero, they try to redesign this guy in every single game and he still sucks. Leave him as the blue scorpion ffs. He was a Native American , a bald guy , a gruff looking American , apparently he died and a new sub-zero was elected. Who are you sub-zero?
Master Chief, he hasn't quite reached the so bad it's good just yet, but he's pretty damn close.
The mad hatter, though I blame Tim Burton for this.
Siegfried, he was better when he was part of a greater whole.
That's all for now.

Yeah, I do hate that part. I liked the original message that hard work, perservance, and loyalty trump destiny and being born special. That aspect is very, *very* annoying. It also undercuts his overcoming the fox considerably. As for the Hinata thing, yeah I realized that. I almost mentioned it in my other post too, but it was irrelevant to the rest of my message. It can be taken two ways, I suppose. Either it was an uncreative way to make Naruto lose control as you theorize, or Naruto has not followed up on it because he does care. I chose to believe the latter, if only because he seems most in love with Sasuke.

If my friend Piledrived me head first from atop a cliff, I certainly would at least consider if it's really worth all the trouble. Not to mention Sakura. Why on earth does she still like him, even after the guy has attempted to take her life 2 to 3 times already? Some times I think it would be better to let someone else do the writing for the series and let Kishimoto do the drawing and character concepts. Yet for some reason i'm still reading it. When I start something, I usually want to see the ending. Oh well...

While the story could still pull itself together, I think the writer of the manga is making some bad mistakes, starting with the fight-scenes. They've become more about pulling a jutsu out of nowhere almost to the point where it's become predictable. That's my main beef. Either way, I don't much read Naruto anymore but it was good for a time.
Oh, and as for Sasuke, did anybody facepalm when Naruto hyperventilated because that sand dude told him that he'd have to kill him[Sasuke]? A bit melodramatic much?

Edited to inlcude a character or rather characters that I hate, due to the thread going a little offtopic.
About every cheerish sidekick that appears to be mandatory in every final fantasy product released. I can handle the gloomy characters, but these just rub me the wrong way.

I actually kind of liked that scene. It showed that after all those heroics he's done, that he's still actually human. Like in how in the pain ark he was the only one that could even hope to stand against him. All that culminated stress and having to pay for ramen after saving the whole fricking village made it burst out, I would have liked that it wouldn't be a talk about killing Sasuke that triggered it, (let the Idiot go already, for the love of....) but yeah...
And in the end of the arc now the village likes Naruto his dream is now real Kishi just had the ending of his manga there you would think an ending should be at the end of the manga but not in Naruto=].

I tease Naruto often for his Sasuke obsession, but I must admit that without Sasuke as a counterpart he would be even more generic at this point. Approaching the Hinta thing again seriously this time, I think he avoided following up because he has so much baggage now. It is not just about Sasuke. He is also shouldering the burden of changing the world's political landscape. Jiraiya and then Nagato both died hoping he would find true world peace. Meanwhile, things were getting worse because of Sasuke. He feared Konoha and Kumogakure might go to war on top of his usual concern for the Uchiha jerkface.
Later on when Naruto is trying to conquer his inner darkness at the waterfall, it becomes obvious how fragile and overburdened he felt inside. He has only now truly found his confidence after some self reflection, and by getting a little of Bee's life story. Mystic Dream's analysis is apt, I think. With everything going on, he has no time to worry about sorting things out with Hinata. Also, he might not see it as a priority. It is clear Naruto loves Sakura, not Hinata.

I hate that. <_< I am reaching the point where every time someone says "that jutsu" I facepalm. "That jutsu" is code for deus ex machina at this point. The winners used to be cleverer rather than more powerful. There are times when I see a bit of that. How Naruto overcame Pain had some cleverness involved. Mostly it is is about brute force, though. Only Shikamaru's fights are that interesting. He is not strong enough to nuke the countryside, so he relies on wit instead.

No one would help him fight because Pain was out of their league. He kicked the crap out of Jiraiya, and it seems pretty clear Tsunade is the weakest of those three. Kakashi is one of the strongest remaining jōnin, and he could barely hold his own against a single Pain. No one else stood a chance except Guy and maybe Neji. I doubt Sakura could contribute much after healing so many people. Pain was singlehandedly wrecking the entire village before Naruto arrived. Fact is, he is probably the strongest villain so far. Stronger than Madara in his current state, I would bet. Definitely more powerful than pre-transplant Sasuke and Kabuto.
The story will obviously not end until he resolves his conflict with Sasuke. Ending it there would have left too many dangling plot threads.

I doubt the village could have done much to help against Pain. He was able to hold his own against the possessed Naruto for quite awhile. He also blew away the toad chief like nothing. In terms of sheer power, I think he was at the top. If Madara is as powerful now, it is mostly because he implanted a rinnegan.

In the Whitebeard War arc of One Piece the Marine soldires who had no powers or anyway to win still try to fight Whitebeard I am sorry but that just makes the ninjas who have powers in Naruto look like sad jokes why can't they help Naruto? and why is he not Hokage now?Seagloom wrote...
Madara strikes me as a weakling in comparison. He prefers using others to fight for him. Assuming he is even the real Madara. Konan came close to killing him, the Fourth was able to smack him down in Kushina's flashback, and he feared Kabuto's impure world ressurection. Kabuto is harder to quantify, but I would be surprised if he is significantly stronger than Orochimaru was. That one jutsu is the only reason he is relevant. Of course I am basing this on nothing more than my own interpretation.
