I tried posting this problem in the topic regarding loading issues to keep it more organized but my issue was not listed in the topic and neither was my help requests being responded to. Probally because the topic was being flooded by 50 other requests at a time.

Anyways this is a less common issue, I've honestly never heard of many people having this issue with DA2. I did however attempt to get help with a EA tech staff who infact had this very problem himself but his fix diddn't work for me or his suggestions.

My issue with the game is that my keyboard gets disabled when playing Dragon Age 2 and only when I am playing Dragon Age 2. Any other game it works perfectly fine, infact a couple days ago I was playing it without any problems. All of a sudden every time I try and play the game and get to the "Press any button" screen to enter the game. My keyboard doesn't respond. As I cannot get passed that screen because my keyboard isn't working for the game, I can't play the game. It's rather frustrating, I honestly have no idea what the issue is.

If there is anybody who encountered this issue before and fixed it, if you could tell me how or if anybody has any possible suggestions for me that would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Well first of all, the first thing I did was look all over google for answers to my problem. Google is filled to the brim of DA2 issues and attempting to filter all those issues with those of my own is near impossible as there are just too many search results for it. Even if I type specific keywords it relates my answers to those of other games (which I tried the answers for with no results).

I've also talked with MANY EA tech support via Live chat. Most of which diddn't even want to bother with answering my question as they kept giving me some small, simple and weird solutions that don't make sense in regards to my problem. I've only met one who seemed like he actually tried to bother fixing my problem and hes the one that also had the same issue with DA2 as I did. However as stated, his fix diddn't work for me. I've looked all over this tech support forums and can't find anything related to my issue or a solution regarding it. I've done a TON to fix my problem without resulting to having to clutter up these forums with a topic of my own but now it's come to that.

Regarding the rest of that topic, here is the details. Although I know my PC can handle the game as I have played it when I first got it for awhile, it was only after a week or more after that it started doing this.

Operating System:     Windows XP
CPU:  2203 MHz AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

DirectX:     DirectX 9.0c (Jun2010)
Disc Drive: DVD ROM drive required
Hard Drive: 402 GB

Am I to just give up in regards to this bioware/dragon age related tech help? I can't seem to find anybody willing to help out with this issue. No matter how long I've posted it, where I post it or how many times I post it.

This is user to user tech support. Everyone posting here does so in their spare time so you can't expect every problem to be solved. If you want official support, visit support.ea.com .

Please leave any thread over six months dead alone. If you find nothing newer that is pertinent, just say so when you complete your own separate, standard problem report. The OP is almost certainly long gone now.
