So I just want to know what are the blood color of the races in the Mass Effect Universe. This is a community activity, so please help out so our Mass Effect intellect can keep growing.

Human: Red (I think)

Turians: Blue (I think it depends, but Garrus's is blue)

Quarians: Red

Krogan: Dark Orange

Geth: White synthetic Fluid

Volus: Unknown

Rachni: Light Green

Collectors: Golden Yellow

Drell: ???

Elcor: Unknown

Hanar: Do they even have blood?

Keepers: Black Synthetic Fluid (needs confirmation)

Asari: Bluish Purple

Salarians: Green

Batarians: Red (needs confirmation)

Reapers: Huh...... red lightning?

Vorcha: Red (needs confirmation)

Yahg: ???

So these are all the shown (in-game) races in the ME universe. Som, like the Hanar, Elcor and Volus, are still classified as "unknown" due to the lack of death (where the blood is shown) in they're respective species in the games. This is all for curiosity, so don't label me a weird fetishists. I need people to confirm and post what they know so I can keep adding to the list. Even if you're not sure, I'll add it and if needed I'll fix it if wrong.

Salarians are green, as is shown in a few vids at the Shadow Broker's Lair. Asari was red until the Shadow Broker mission, I don't know why it is purple on that level.

Yeah, Salarians are green. See Thane's recruitment mission for confirmation.

Quarians have red. You can see a little spray of red when one of the female quarians is killed by the YMIR Mech. Check out the link to see for yourself.

Rachni is kind if an olive green (e.g. Novaria mission)
It's quite some time since I last played it but there is this scene at the end of ME1 when Saren runs through the council chamber and shoots a Keeper. Isn't that one bleeding a rather black liquid? (probably on youtube somewhere but Im too lazy now to search for it).

Krogans have orange blood, if I remember from the codex, and the Dr. Saleon mission from ME1. There is also a few times when you see Krogan blood spurt, and I think it's orange.

Turians likely use copper as opposed to iron for oxygen transport if their blood is blue, like horseshoe crabs, I may not be remembering correctly but I believe copper has a greater oxygen carrying capacity, which may give Turians an edge in physical endurance over other races.

Edit: If Hanar share their physiology with earth jellyfish then their "blood" so to speak is likely a transparent or transluscent fluid.

I can't believe people prefer to rant and bash in other threads then actually be part of something intellectually benefiting for all of us. Damn nerds, the stereotype is wrong, they're not brainiacs at all.

I will discuss intellectual topics with you whenever you want. The dumdums are best left ignored.

Regarding the asari, is their blood a combination of red and purple, or do some asari have red blood, and others purple blood? The latter would make no sense. The "Retribution" novel says that they have red blood. In the games, they have purple blood. Typically, the authority of game lore exceeds the authority of EU lore.

Wiki says that Hemocyanin (oxygen carrying copper) is used in cold, low oxygen environments, places where hemoglobin is less efficient.

I have a very hard time believing that turians come from a cold environment, given Garrus' comments about Noveria, Virmire, and Therum. Low oxygen but higher pressure atmosphere, sure.

Horseshoe Crabs florish in warm environments, so there must be more to it than the wiki states.
