Copper gives hemocyanin a bluish color, while iron gives hemoglobin a deep red color.

Blood coloration depends on the metal used to bind oxygen with.

Salarians are green, as is shown in a few vids at the Shadow Broker's Lair. Asari was red until the Shadow Broker mission, I don't know why it is purple on that level.
Bioware could say that Asari blood color is decided by the "father's" species.

And it would be retarded... but they might as well do so.

And I cringe whenever someone uses the words lightyear or parsec in a way that seem to be units of time.Pwener2313 wrote...

I could have sword I remembered seeing green blood from the quarians on the alarei during tali's LM
The Shadow Broker mission had a mini movie after completion where a Salarian gets dismembered and I do think there was green blood.

well that's how God works I think, its not like he magicaly waved everything into existance, he made evolution and exploding stars for a reason
come to think of it even the laws of the universe are "magical" if you really think about it.
back to topic, I wonder if the elcor would explode if shot, since they evolved on high gravity worlds so their blood pressure should be very high to counter the effects of G force
hmmmm, and wouldn't they feel really uncomfortable in low gravity (like on presiduim) !!!
ohhh and maybe elcor blood used lighter minerals to enhance the effectivness of oxygen transfer....

Explode? I don't think so. We already have the volus for that. Also remember that atmospheric pressure is more important than gravity as far as blood pressure. They would gush blood when shot though. Messy.

And as has been noted in the scene in ME2 with the Geth and the marine, he does take one and the pale greenish fluid spurts from air near his head. I would mention spoilers but the Yahg post took care o that one...
I know this is a biennually late post, but I felt the dire urge to post. Other than the never shown Elcor or Hanar deaths, and the still undecided Asari red/blue dichotomy, I think we got em all.
