I'm patched to 1.01a and have so far not had many problems with crashes etc. - and nothing game breaking at any rate. I did this before I started my first game.
Are there any "must haves" in 1.01b, or should I just stick to 1.01a?
Am asking as I understand that there are quite a few that run into problems when trying to patch an existing game.
Patch 1.0.1b - do I need it?

I don't see any changes except maybe the visual c runtime libraries. Was that there in 1.01a?

All 1.01b dos is fix the library issues for win7 and vista 64. Unfotunately the patch nots duplicate 101a, confusing people.
1.01b does NOT make the game any different than 1.01a

Not according to these patch notes:

It sure would be swell if Bio released their patches with OFFICIAL patch notes, too. But, I'm sure this is part of their "taking the numbers out of RPGs" motif. This is the new ****, after all.

Then I guess I'll just stick to 1.0.1a for now. Thanks. :-)
