Is Confusion / Chaos worth it? I want to try to expand Disorient application beyond Fatiguing Fog to boost Assault / Scatter for my Shield Warrior Hawke and/or Aveline.

Yeah it works as described. You can even run away from the area and they'll keep fighting among themselves.

I love confusion. 50% chance, And, this is the beauty part. You only need to hit 1 of the targets with it. Everyone around them will turn and start attacking, as long as threat isn't too high toward one of your own + ccc possiblities. It lets Aveline get nice and tight for those 2600 scatters on all of the melee that pile on.
