I love Aveline D: so much hate for her.
I actually liked Red, but as a fellow redhead, I can see where it might grate.
I think Varric would try not to disrespect her, not just because he's scared of her, but I doubt he really dislikes her, and wouldn't want to be rude to her and possibly mar her reputation in any form.
