Seem to have gotten these mails to my EA/Bioware account as well. Been using this particular address for few others as well, but it is a very short list.

Yeah I'm getting poker and casino spam only just started, on the account used for EA/Bioware, and it's very rare that account's used for anything else. Not opened them, from BestOnlineCasino, BestPoker, BestUSAPoker, these started appearing a day or so after I got DA2. No big deal really, just goes to my junk folder.

I've been getting spam as well, and it only started recently - I've never received any before. The latest was today, a casino ad.

Well, I'll have to take that back now.

Got a "Re:BestCasino&Now" from "New York", so I'll have to agree with that there's something fishy going on.

Looks like no-one at EA/Bioware cares though.

I have that exact same spam email. I can always block the sender but It's still annoying when i expect a company to keep my details secure.

I just checked my spam folder and got the same spam email from a "Silvia Walrond" with the subject "Re:ForYouCasino" something something. I only use this email for EA/Dragon Age.

ETA: This started on April 1. April Fool's?

Got a spam with that same title. Can't remember the sender.

This e-mail address is not exclusive to my EA Account and is not the first spam I've received on it. But this certainly sounds like someone got access to an EA Account list somewhere.

Thank you for letting us know it's being looked into Chris.

Obviously if email addresses have somehow been leaked it's not going to help people that already have this issue - but hopefully it could at least stop this from happening to people not currently effected.

I had been spam-free on my BSN e-mail. I just checked, and sure enough, I have a single message in my spam box. Subject line reads "Best!EuropeCasino%Get" and it's from "New York."

Pissin' me off is what it's doing.

That could well be it, as guess what EA are a client of theirs.

I was wondering about the same thing, but it seems that EA do their own marketing spamming so I'm not sure what's the connection.  If they are passing our details on to other companies like this, this is exactly the sort of reason the practice should stop.

If you read the PDF I linked it seems they deal with a lot of EA's emails - distribution of EA's newsletters, transactional emails, registration emails etc. - a snippet:

DREAMmail’s extensive dynamic personalisation capabilities allow content to be delivered in multiple languages, and customised based on a subscriber’s preferences or location.
For example, subscribers to EA’s Godfather Newsletter sign up for one of four families and receive regular newsletters targeted to that family. EA then customises content based on the family of choice and creates buzz for products that have not yet been released.

Many large corporations use third parties for newsletter etc. distribution as it's much easier for them to let someone else deal with the hassle of email distribution issues than to deal with it in-house.

It would be nice to know what information was leaked and what information was not. So far it seems obvious that Email and Location was leaked. It seems credit card was not... i hope?

sandokas - Assuming this was a result of the Epsilon leak then according to SecurityWeek: They did not have access to member addresses, account logins and passwords, credit card information or other personal data.

Apparently only names and email addresses were leaked.
