The DLC excuse is not an excuse: Shale was simply great, well fleshed out and ultimately, lovely.
Absolutely. Shale was also very powerful, and excellent comic relief. Sebastian is a) useless in combat as an archer, anddull as... dull.
But he's the only that can use short- and Longbows. Assuming you don't re-spec Isabela. Can you even re-spec Isabela?

His decision and motive with Anders at the end of the game remind me of Alistair's in Dragon Age Origins. They both just lost the closest thing they had to a family (Duncan and Elthina) and want vengeance on the ones responsible (Loghain and Anders). I like these kind of decisions because at this point, Sebastian and Alistair are so filled with rage that they cannot be reasoned with and only want vengeance.
Sebastain acted on grief, an irrational emotion. I think that its hard not to see where he is coming from.

Pft, Sebastian won't raise an army. He'll post a note to the Starkhaven chanters board saying "Wanted: someone to raise an army to take on Kirkwall". Then he'll go sulk in the Chantry until somebody answers it.
Hahaha!

The difference is that Sebastian is a selfish moron during all the game. Alistair, if encouraged, at least does not run away from his responsabilities with poor excuses.TheOrtReport wrote...
I honestly don't mind Sebastian that much, he is kind of bland in some areas, but he's okay in my book.

Poor Wynne. I actually liked her a lot.
She was nothing like Sebastian, the unsufferable ******.

And yet both of them are too weak willed to deal with it themselves and leave it up to the PC to decide there fates then throw a tantrum if you don't do it there way. I was actaully shocked when there wasn't an option to let Sabastian bleed Anders.
I consider myself a non violent person in RL (probably why I love games like this) but if anyone ever did something like that to someone I loved then whatever god they worship best take pity on there soul cause they wouldn't get any from me.

Yeah really, they should've hired some American to do a fake Scottish accent, not this Alec Newman guy.yhishtchie wrote...

It's good to see that somebody else gets this.
Also, surely I am not the only person who thinks that, if they had Sebastian put an arrow through Anders' neck, the same people who complain that he leaves the decision of whether Anders is killed up to the player would instead be complaining at least as loudly that the choice of what to do about Anders was taken out of their hands?

Leliana's accent was incredibly fake too.
And yes, how many would have disliked him even more if he just shot Anders at the spot, something that Anders seemed perfectly ready to accept, in fact he seems to prefer it.

A french woman that had moved to England a few years back as to make it seem even more genuine, yes.
That is the point.

I mean, just because somebody is French doesn't mean they can do a good French accent when speaking another language, IF that person speaks that other language without accent. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but from personal experience...I'm a native Chinese speaker so I speak Mandarin without accent, and I also speak English too with no accent. However, if you ask me to try to speak English with a Chinese accent, I probably would sound pretty stupid.
That said it is still better than EVERY OTHER attempt at a French accent in the game. Especially the Comtesse de Launcet's....<shudder>

I think Sebastian's reaction was understandable, but I kind of lol'ed when he said: "If it were me inside the Chantry, would you hesitate [to kill Anders]?" because my thought was "I don't see how that would change anything about how I feel about the situation." Somebody sure thinks a lot of himself...
If Sebastian had been inside the Chantry, I would have asked Anders for the honor of pushing the detonation button... errr... staff.
