I know Anders's gay romanceschanges quite a bit, and that Fenris's changes just slightly, so I was wondering how different the romances with Merrill and Isabella are when done with a female Hawke instead of a male Hawke.
How different are the lesbian romances from the straight romances?

Saw that coming
I mean dialogue wise though.

I think Merrill makes less of a deal about the whole human/elf thing with Lady Hawke, probably because there's no prospect of kids.

As far as I know, there's no difference between same-sex and opposite-sex romance for Isabela.

There are probably some minor dialogue changes. When Isabela turned up at my FemHawke's house and she didn't select the first flirt (after flirting like mad outside the house) Isabela invited my most recent FemHawke for 'girly fun'. The animation was the same though. Haven't played through it further yet but I haven't seen any MaleHawke scenes later on to compare them.

Isabela has some very minor dialogue changes, yes. She uses two lines with a male hawke, saying "that was just rutting" and "Now my curiosity has been... sated." With a female Hawke, she says "That was... thank you." and "Well, if you ever want to do it again...". Then she goes into the common "Wait. You aren't thinking about bringing feelings into this, are you?"

Okay, I watched the two scenes. Looks like she uses the direct option for Dude Hawke and the diplomatic one for Lady Hawke.

There's this, and she also approaches the romance with female Hawke with a sort of big-sister-admiration thing. You know, the whole "you're so beautiful and clever, I wish I were more like you" bit. I think with male Hawke, it's more of a traditional attraction, she seems more impressed by the great things Hawke has accomplished - "If you were Dalish, my people would have a kingdom by now" or however it goes.

Isabela: No silly... telling eachother secrets, exploring eachother's hidden... depths."
If thats the same with the MHawke I'm going to quote Merrill with a... "Ew!"

Damn, I was keeping Merrill's romance for last, but now, after reading the kinds of things she says (the rough tongue comment o_O) I'm gonna have to try it sooner than later.

She says that even if you're not in a romance with her.

Worry not. No such line is said to MHawke.
