Premise
The Grey Warden's have heard rumblings of something below the Free Marches in the Deep Roads and approach both the Templars and Mages of Kirkwall for assitance due to the low numbers of Warden's available.
Timeline
This DLC takes place between years and and four and has Hawke's sibling having completed their Warden/Mage/Templar Training join up on a quest into the Deep Roads.
Characters
Carver: Hawke's younger brother and recent Grey Warden/ Knight Templar who prefers the use of two handed swaords and just wants to get out of the shadow of his older sibling.
Bethany: Hawke's younger sister who recently joined the Kirkwall Circle/Grey Warden's. She's out to prove herself to her new companions.
Cullen: A Templar Knight Captain who survived the Fereldan Circle and is now rooting out abominations and blood mages in Kirkwall . He prefers a Sword and Shield and will always join the quest.
Sigrun: Having come to Kirkwall searching for the Warden-Commander/on his orders if he was Orlesian Sigrun has heard tales of a new threat from the Deep roads and enlists the Kirkwall Templars and circle to help her due to a lack of Wardens in the area. She uses dual daggers extremely well and is always a apart of the quest.
Tobrius: A mage in the circle who knew Hawke's father. He is assigned the task of assisting the Warden's should Bethany not be alive.
New Stuff
Carver/Bethany to recieve a specialisation tree from either Grey Warden/Knight Templar/Circle Mage. This carries through to Act 3 if they return on your side.
Armour upgrades for Carver/Bethany that carry through to Act 3.
Frienship and Rivalry bonuses for Carver/Bethany.
Weapons/Armour/Gold for Hawke at the beginning fo Act 2 should you complete it on that playthrough.
The return of genlocks and a Deep Roads boss we all love to hate.

Rumbles of the Deep
Having heard rumors of increased Darkspawn activity in the Deep Roads surrounding Kirkwall the Warden's have decided to investigate with the help
- Recruit the Templars and Mages to assist your investigation into the Deep Roads.
- Make your way through the Deep Roads to the souce of the threat
- Eliminate the threat
Appears after recruiting everyone.
Cullen has some tips on finding the supplies you need to undertake the trip into the Deep Roads. Talk to him to find out which merchants will have what you need
- Talk to Cullen
- Talk to the merchants in the Gallows to learn that the supplies have been stolen
- Travel to Lowtown for information on the thieves (Beat it out of the carta thugs if necassary)
- Travel to Undercity for fights where you collect supplies
No Mage Left Behind
Carver exclusive
Tobrius was wounded badly in the fight against the Primeval Broodmother. Keep him alive until you escape the Deep Roads for an extra reward from the Circle.
- Escape the Deep Roads without Tobrias being injured to complete this quest
Bethany exclusive
Cullen was wounded badly in the fight against the Primeval Broodmother. Stop him from recieveing any more wounds until you escape the Deep Roads for an extra reward from the Templars.

Grey Warden
Tainted Blood (sustained): +25% damage, +10% damage resistance. 10% of max stamina/mana
Corrupted Blood(upgrade, req 3 points): +15% dmage, +10% attack speed.
Blood Vigil (passive, req Tainted Blood): Immunity to flanking by Darkspawn
Knight of the Grey(passive, req Blood vigil+Power of the Taint, req 5 points):+3 all attriubutes +25% crit chance, +30% crit damage, +10% magic resistance
Power of the Taint(Activated, req Tainted Blood): Immediately restores 5% of max stamina/mana in return for 1% of max hp. 3 sec cooldown
Archdemon(ugrade, req Power of the Taint): Your next ability costs 0 mana/stamina and deals an extra 10% damage. +7 second cooldown
Circle Mage
Circle of Kirkwall (sustained): +10% damage from all elements, 5% magic resistance. 20% of max mana
Enchanter(upgrade requires 3 points): +5% magic resistance, -5% sustained cost
Elemental Burst (activated): Aura of 6m dealing Fire damage every 1s to all enemies surrounding you (Friends are not hit even on nightmare) cost 40 mana cooldown 30 seconds
Shield of Flames(upgrade, requires 3 points): +4 second duration, -5 second cooldown
Fade Bomb(Activated, req 4 points, req Circle of Kirkwall, req elemental burst): Deals spirit damage in an area over time before exploding dealing large spirit damage to all nearby enemies. Costs 60 mana Cooldown 25 seconds
Weaken the Veil(upgrade): Cooldown -5 seconds
Knight Templar
Silencing Strike(Activated): Dispels hostile magic, drains mana and deals physical damage equal to amount drained and silences target for 5 seconds. cooldown 15 seconds
Templar Training(Sustained): +10% magic resistance, +10% spirit damage per attack. 10% of max stamina
Knight Templar(ugrade, req 2point): +10% attack +10% defence
Tranquil Brand (Activated, requires Templar Training): Silences mages for 10 seconds. cooldown 30 sec 25 stam
Burning Brand (upgrade, req 2 point): deals fire damage in addition to silencing. cooldown - 5 sec
Shield of the Templars(Passive, req 5 point, req Silencing strike, req Tranquil Brand): +25% spirit resistance +10% damage, +20 health, +20 stamina regeneration.
Bosses
Carta Kingpin: Assassin with all usual tricks. Health scales to level. not immune to stuns/slow. weak to spirit damage, strong vs lightning and cold, immune to nature damage. Comes with 2 waves of 1 elite assassin, 2 normal archers, 2 weak archers and, 4 weak melee. Drops Amulet: Kingpin's stone. (+1 cunning +1 dex. 3% physical damage 3% crit chance) this is sent to Hawke after the DLC is done
Monstrous Spider: Same as in Deep Roads. Drops monstrous Silk Gland which if kept in inventory sends Hawke 5g after the DLC is done
Primeval Broodmother: Same basic fight as in DA:O except this Broodmother will teleport to one of 4 locations with each wave of enemies that spawns. Deals heavy physical damage and the tentacles come in batches of 4 with 2 being melee 1 mage that has a weak heal spell (5% of max hp to the broodmother but tentacle dies cast after 30 seconds of it being alive) and 1 ranged that fires nature bolts.
Drops: Primeval Lyrium Ring (+25 mana/stamina, +1 all attributes, +5% physical damage, -15 health) Sent to Hawke on completion of DLC.
Well guys what do ya think of what I hope is the first DLC? The inclusion of Sigrun means she could also make a crack about naughty tentacles when seeing the Broodmother and getting Cullen all flustered as he usually is at things like that.
