Greetings,

I just finished playing through Mass Effect 1 for the second time, last playing it about 3 years ago so I could have a could have a perfect save for another ME2 playthrough. My final finishing judgement was chosing Captain Anderson as the Council's Earth representative, however I noticed that my game did not make a final save before returning me to the title screen. My save files are as follow:

Quick Save - Just before choosing whether the council lives or perishes.
Auto Save - 4 mins after that.

This leads me to believe the auto save is to record the council decision, as the dialogue would have lasted roughly 4 mins, but the fight against saren would have lasted up to 10 mins.

Does this mean that the decision does not impact ME2? Because I really dislike Udina :(

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Near the beginning of ME2, you will get the chance to "remember" which choice you made. Choose Anderson when the time comes. I think this was put in because of people not having their final choice saved in their ME1 save-files.

So, no worries. :)
