Is your Hawke tired of tripping over his skirts in battle? Frustrated by robes that cover up her boots and gloves? Sick of walking around Kirkwall in an outfit that screams 'ARREST ME, I'M A MAGE'? With this mod, all their troubles will soon be over!
This is a swap that replaces the four standard mage robe models with more practical adventuring gear already seen in some of the unique armour. It's a purely aesthetic change that will have no effect on item stats. This mod is not compatible with any other mods that change item_varation.gda. The management takes no responsibility if your outfit ends up a hideous lime green.

Hah. At last. Thanks a lot. This will be in my next game.
I guess you've only made female versions?

I got so frustrated waiting for someone else to do this I learned how to mod the .gda!

No, iIt will work with a male character as well. I just can't take any pictures since I don't have a male mage Hawke yet.

Hi Andrastee...i noticed you have a different skin for the Robes of the Void, does that mean you have the code for the Robes to change the model in the item_variations.gdf file?

Indeed I do! The model for Robes of the Void is the Robe of Hidden Pockets. It can be found at Row 214 in the item_variations.gda, and is called Light -Commoner C (rob_magc).

Andrastee, great work! Any chance of future updates with custom armor variants?

Is there a chance that this mod could cause some of the NPC mages (Sol and Karl) to wear different outfits, and maybe one NPC mage (a minor quest turn-in near the west exit of Darktown, an elf mage I believe) to appear as head, hands, and feet floating in midair?
(by the way, whatever is causing it, we can now say that at least some of the NPCs in robes are actually barefoot under the robes)

Confirmed that this mod causes certain mage NPCs to appear in non-standard outfits, barefoot.
(As in, removed the mod, and they now appear in their normal robes again.)
