It took me maybe 30 hours to get to half way point in the game on my first play through.
It took me around 5 hours when I restarted to get to the same point - mainly because I skipped all the dialog.
So the time is really different based on your play style.

Also: 32 hours in one playthrough is about 20 hours higher than the average playtime game campaigns offer these days.

Some loots (such as the ones in the dwarf mines) give you extra quests.
32 hours seems more than short. Just finished it without completing all quests (don't have the 75% achievement) and it took me about 80 hours in normal mode and i'm not counting all the reloads.

OK, no one in town has the strategy guide in, and I must be missing a lot of content or something. I heard the game was supposed to be around 75 hours long, I have finished it twice in around 32 hours each time. Including Wardens Keep and Shale DLC. I search around for as much as the side missions that I can find, and still find myself lacking in content. I love the game but finding myself wanting a lot more content. I have done the side quests for the NPC's, Morrigan, Leliana, Alistair, Sten, Shale, Zevran (more of an incounter), Wynne...Done all the blackstone irregular quests I can find, quests from the tavern in Denerim, the Mages collective, Crows and burglary.
What am I missing? Thanks!

According to your profile you have not registered the game, therefor I conclude that you are full of ****.

As others have said; it all comes down to your playstyle. If you enjoy talking, exploring all the dialogue options, seeing how can you manipulate other characters in the game world, you'll find a lot more time invested in this game. If you go into it wanting a hack and slash dungeon crawler it won't last you nearly as long.

At this rate, whichever char i finish the game with for the second time will be much longer.

I think its a legit comment, the OP even mentioned loving the game and the post was worded intelligently. I understand the hate going out to all the numerous trolls that have been posting topics since game release, but when someone voices an intelligent opinion regarding thier disappointment in the lack of content, I fail to understand why people feel the need to bash them.

Well, I'm most of the way done. According to in-game I have about 32 hours, but Steam has me at a whopping 57.5 hours. Not sure where all the difference comes from, but I definitely trust Steam.
Ingame time doesn't take reloading into account. So if it takes 3 attempts to win a battle, and another 5 attempts to finish it perfectly with nobody going down and your character of choice doing a flashy finishing move, you may spend an hour or more in real life, while the game will take only the 5 minutes for your perfect last attempt into account.

But yeah 32 hours, I would say you've missed all of the sidequests, skipped through cutscenes and probably got lucky taking some of the less time consuming options.
My current playthrough is no doubt going to be the longest I done so far but that is because I have been making stuff in game with the Winter Forge mod. Also if you pause the game and say go off to eat dinner or something then come back, it still counts all that 'paused' time as far as am aware, so that can sometimes add up. Am really enjoying trying all the various options with different playthroughs due to different characteristics of the characters I make. Makes me feel like I am truly getting more than the money I invested in the game compared ot other games which can be done in 8-10 times less with not so much re-playability.
What with the DLC and the stuff modders will be creating with the toolset (like the aforementioned mod) the possibilities are endless to extend the playtime in this game.
