Hello!

I just bought DragonAge II at my local store.
I managed to install it just fine on my HD and registered game.
Then I went to install the DLC Black Emporium (i got a free voucher when i bought the game).
Restarting Dragon Age 2 to enable it, and there this error popped up:

AWC.dll

There is a problem with your game's setup.
Please reinstall your game

I haven't played a single minute of the game yet..

AWC.dll seems like it's an issue with the windows files inside the cider wrapper?

I'm using a MacBook Pro Core i5 with 8 GB RAM and nVidia Geforce 330M graphics, Mac OSX 10.6.6

Auch. Not sure we have seen this one before.
Only thing that sticks out is that you're on 10.6.6 (if that's correct). The latest OS-X release solved a lot of graphics issues with newer macbooks so perhaps upgrade to 10.6.7 and try?

Deleted installation and tried again, and it did work.
Now after playing for an hour game crashed and won't relaunch at all.
(Press the app and it just bounce once in dock and nothing more happens)
I'm about to reboot to see is that is helping.

I also had a few graphical errors, a few people was missing some graphics (could see thru some parts of them :P )

The whole mac version of DA2 is kinda like a beta version it seems..
I'm gonna give it a little more time and see if things are getting better, or I guess i have to play in windows.

DA:O and Awakening did only crash a few times for me in the whole playthru (about 80 hrs i guess ;D ).

As you mention, I'm still at 10.6.6, but my machine have been on the market for a year now, so the graphics upgrade in the patch is aimed at the 2011 models with ATI graphics. Also I recently did all the things that should be necessary to keep my computer running clean (onyx, disk permissions, cron scrips etc.) I've been a mac user since before OSX days, so I know how to keep my machine happy :)

Thanks for the quick reply btw!

Reboot made it possible to play again, but now it crashed again 40 mins later, and I have to reboot again to make the game start..

Even my selfported version of The Witcher is more stable than this (pc version built with wineskin to run it on my mac)

A lot of people said their game became much better with the 10.6.7 update including fewer crashes seems like a reasonable thing to test.
