There seems to be something wrong with the hardware tesselation implementation. You can see this artefact on every tesselated surface. Except for this there are no random artefacts, either in this game or any other, so I wouldn't think something is wrong with my hardware. Am I the only one experiencing this? The interesting specs are: Intel i7 930, Radeon HD5970.

No, you're not the only one experiencing this. That's the edge of the unaltered mesh. For some reason, it's always visible. I'm almost positive that this is an issue with the way tessellation is implemented in the game. I don't know if it's actually a bug, or if it's just a side effect, but there it is.

It would be nice to deduce if it's a driver bug or a shader bug. So does this effect appear on Nvidia-cards as well?

I've figured this one out. The meshes' edges only appear as in the screenshot when anti-aliasing is enabled. It's a result of the interaction between the two features. Not sure if it's something that could be addressed or if we're just going to have to live with it.

I had never noticed that until you mentioned it. Sure enough, I checked and it's happening for me too.
